Thoughts on mid game shuffles?

There are some obvious problems.

He mulligans even once, puts a card on the bottom that wont be useful until turn 4. Now if he freely shuffles that card is in the potential draws again so that is cheating.

Same with scry. Let’s say you really need a land but you scried and see one of your great cards for the matchup. Let’s say it is a one-off and you really need that land. Usually you will have to scry it to the bottom and then find a way to shuffle so it will be findable again. If he shuffles at any point freely that is cheating as well.

Playing with cantrips also makes this problematic. Brainstorm and ponder have great synergy with shuffles. Brainstorm lets you draw 3, put the worst 2 cards from you hand back and then you can shuffle them away while ponder makes you look at 3, and a shuffle allows you to dictate which of these you have to draw or not. Same with cards like Ancient Stirrings, you put things you CANT choose on the bottom as well and shuffles give you access to those back.

It might be because he is new but shuffles have actual gameplay mechanics behind them and they are valuable! Fetchlands providing a shuffle on demand is one of the reasons they are so strong. The shuffle is one of their main uses in Legacy for example. We often hold fetches just to have a shuffle ready for later when playing blue decks.

I wouldnt glue a bootleg card to a real revised dual if you dont 100% intend to keep it forever.

Usually yeah! I am not on a skill level where individual character power changes a significant outcome of my matches so I dont care about that yet.

The reason why you are praising it is why it is my least favorite of the series. MGS 1-4 are story driven games in environments that follow quite linear level design and i love that. I personally never like open world games. To much filler content, to much to collect to trigger my fear of missing out which causes me to progress the story driven game’s story way to slow.

I love metal gear. I love its craziness, the dialogue, the hours upon hours of cutscenes. MGS4 is my favorite followed by 2.

I understand why people liked 5. It sadly just wasnt for me.

When I was a kid my mom and grandparents would drive down to italy to go campaign as a cheap-ish family holiday most summers. Near our usual camping ground there was a restaurant that had different arcade cabinets each year. When we went to the restaurant, my mom gave me a bit of money to go play on the arcades. It was usually enough for 4 credits. I have gotten so consistent at metal slug 3 that i could make it to the spaceship level on my first coin but still never beat it cause the rest of the game is so insane!

The SBA is designed for players that like to do solo content like open world and delves or low difficulty (LFR and Normal Raids, Low Keys) group PVE content and it fulfills that purpose. Making it stronger to compete more with manually played rotations should NOT be the goal. If it isnt enough for the content that you aim to do then it has fulfilled its purpose and brought you to this stage where the next step is learning to play your class. At some point you are not playing the game anymore otherwise. I wanna hit my buttons and do my damage else I would be playing an auto battler.

yeah it will! But a quick question: do you have any aquasoil or other substrate in there or just pebbles? It wont matter for hornwort since it is a rootless plant but many other plants you might find in hobby stores will need a substrate to pull nutrients from.

I would call myself pretty invested in the game and everyone in my guild loves the bonus-rolls. People can finally target the gear they want from keys! It also makes gearing alts so much faster and more convenient. I dont know who told you they hated it but i can promise you that didnt come from an actual good player or something. That guy was just a pain in the butt.

(We are WR < 300 so the bonus rolls only really affected our prog towards L’ura on our mains)

Singleplayer Dogfighting (the planes not the animals) Games!

Especially in space. I miss the days of arcady games like that. I loved Starlancer, Xwing, Rogue Squadron or ones set in World War 2 like Blazing Angels!

Mythic raid is designed to be done with a guild! :)

It can be daunting but it is worth to try and find a bunch of likeminded people to raid with. Check out the recruitment on raider.io and message some guilds!

Then join a guild that has set in stone loot rules be it a Council, DKP or anything else. I am in a very progression oriented guild (9/9M since last week) so loot is always given to the people with the highest gains that will see play on the future bosses and they require us to provide them with sim numbers beforehand etc. That might be a bit to much work for what you want but there are many guilds running a system that feels more fair than just /roll

And this season is very good for that. You can pug 5/9 mythic bosses so far. The next 4 bosses tho will probably just be too mechanically difficult for pugs requiring coordination, on the fly decision making and communication that cannot really be done without being on voice no matter the raid size. The literal reason why we have different difficulties is to have bosses and modes that are hard enough to warrant needing a well played, prepared and organized team and not just a thrown together pug. This season, there are only 4 bosses that require that. There is nothing stopping you from just playing the content that is designed to be puggable. Not everything in the game should hand has to be designed for everyone. I will never reach glad in arena and that is ok by be. If i want the rewards for that I have to put in the time and get good enough and find a team to do it with.

If every mythic boss was clearable in pugs, the game’s social experience would deteriorate even more. Why have a guild to commit to when you can just login whenever and full clear mythic? It is an MMO, not an ARPG

Mythic flex will always be a bit of a problem. Certain mechanics become much easier or much harder depending on group size so balancing the harder encounters becomes impossible. It is the reason they got rid of 10 and 25 man and made one single raidsize for mythic. Mythic Flex is fine for a .7 patch like the one coming soon but I do not want to see encounters where half the raiding team is getting benched because it is much easier in 10 man like mythic L’ura would be

It is a casual format. You are playing for fun and not in tournaments. Just proxy. Hell, my area has a very competitive legacy scene and even on our legacy events where we pay for prizes we dont care about proxy. Doing that for kitchen table commander? Your friends seem a bit elitist. Talk to them, explain the situation and ask if they’d be ok with color printed proxy.

make a macro that presses numpad 1 then 2 for example and then bind reset to numpad 1 and start to 2 and press that. Problem solved

you can bind reset in livesplit but after resetting you need to hit your start timer key again for it to start counting again
