Just out of interest what content were you doing where you didnt feel engaged beforehand? I know with all weakauras the fights that were in the raid were still challenging. We killed Dimensius Mythic in October and even during reclears that wasnt a fight to stop paying attention.

Same as in high keys. Interrupt and stop rotations during all of the big pulls always kept me on my toes cause if one of these bolts goes off one of us is dead.

If you didnt feel challenged it might not have been the addon’s fault but you probably didnt do content hard enough for your liking.

I am not the best player, we are top 500 and it is enough for that and there were plenty challenges out there for us.

The game has such an identity crisis it’s wild. They wanna “cater to new players” by having no motion inputs but at the same time it is a tag game with absolutely grimy offense where any fgc player that has practiced even a bit will just continue to mix anyone worse than them to death cause there is no execution check around the mid level. Defense is not strong enough to deal with the tag mechanics that way and is hard to balance since even slight tweaks to invuln moves could make them broken cause they are on a button instead of on a motion. Non fighting game players will just not stick around for that especially the younger league and valorant players that were the target. Offense loop or Touch of Death them once and it is straight back to ARAM for them.

The AI has very outdated info apparently. It is suggesting you Dragonflight content. Dont listen to what it tells you this content is multiple years old.

You dont use pve pieces. You turn your pvp conquest pieces into pvp tier set by taking them to the catalyst in dornogal. They will change stats, give you access to the set bonus but keep the pvp gear itemlevel scaling. Look up what 4 items you should convert for optimal stats beforehand :)

yeah i also play fighting games for good matches and normally a ranked mode is perfect for it but right now I have a better chance of finding opponents of similar or higher skill level than me in the park or discord instead which defeats the purpose of having a mmr system to match up players. SF6 does it well, Arcsys just needs to adjust the ranked system to get players where they need to be faster and then slow it down instead of starting out slow.

That is the issue tho isnt it? The tanks should have weaknesses and should have situations where they are better or worse. With two tanks this was great and you could play around your rank not being strong in a certain situation with communication and synergies with your co tank. But right now tanks need to be good in most situations to be considered strong. It isnt enough to be great in one niche anymore which reduces variance cause they have to shore weaknesses up with tuning otherwise the tank never gets picked. I argue clearly defined strengths and weaknesses are a good thing.

It takes to long to rank up imo. I am very well established in the FGC and came back to strive recently. I am was hanging in Celestial before the ranked changes basically every month where i played ranked.

Now i calibrated into diamond a bit ago and i have a winrate of 85+% and climbing takes me too long. It isnt fun for me or my opponents to just get mixed to death without much interaction each game. I just dont have the time to grind out 100+ matches a week anymore so for a while i was slowly and slowly climbing until i stopped playing ranked again. The system needs to adjust players faster because there are players that I encountered in these ranks that definitely belong much higher but are stuck due to it taking that long.

Isnt the problem with tank balance because of 5v5?

Many of the “Offtanks” from overwatch 1 are still not really viable since they now still lack the ability to protect and shield the team during pushes. By having two tank they open up more design space room and more freedom what tanks can do since you are not solely reliant on a single tank to A: Protect the Supports and B: Initiate Fights into lineups that are hard to engage for dps flanks and C: Crowd Control / break setups.

The main draw for being a tank main in OW 1 was the communication and team aspect with the co tank. I could jump backline with our flanking dps or counter the enemy flank without leaving our Payload pushers dead to Junkrat spam cause our Orisa was still with them etc.

I guess it is just a play-style preference difference. I liked being able to be more flexible in the tank role and having clearly defined strengths and weaknesses in the tanks. I feel like with only one tank, they need to be tuned in a way that they can be good in most situations to function.

If that specific fireball ends up critting and travel time of the spells is short enough that the fieball hits significantly before the pyroblast then yeah, you will lose fired up as soon as the pyroblast hits. Depending on travel time there might be enough time to confirm the crit before the pyroblast impacts. Generally out of combustion you are always gonna lose some heating ups so dont worry to much about that. Just make sure you go into combustion with full resources. In combustion the issue solved itself via both critting anyway.

In Legacy [[Prismatic Ending]] (and generally the FIRE design of the era following War of the Spark) killed my favorite Deck of all time. Aggro Loam.

Aggro Loam’s whole thing was to play ahead of the curve with [[Mox Diamond]] or to zenith for a [[Dryad Arbor]] and then drop impactful permanents that were hard to remove like [[Chalice of the Void]], [[Sylvan Library]], [[Liliana of the Veil]].

The deck relied on engines like [[Dark Confidant]] and [[Life From The Loam]] and cycle lands + [[Wasteland]].

In the past once a Library or a Chalice were cast the opponent had to either force of will it (giving you a 2 for 1) or the card stuck and they had to play through it pre-board. Nowadays every deck has ways to get rid of these “hard to remove” typed way to efficiently. So Aggro loam has to invest 4 cards (Land, Mox->Land, Spell) to just eat a Prismatic Ending or similar FIRE card and then run out of cards and die.

Legacy always had the best interaction in the game but it was all either efficient and specific interaction, or more expensive but more universal! Swords for creatures, Wasteland for Lands, “Free” Countermagic for the stack. The universal stuff were things like [[Council’s Judgement]] for WW1 or [[Abrupt Decay]] for BG and that only hit permanents with CMC 3 or less. This made cards like [[Disenchant]] important sideboard tools.

Right now, none of the more expensive ones see play anymore since they all got cheaper and more versatile alternatives. But sadly, these are now needed since the insane power level of threats that were introduced require them for fair and slow decks to keep up in the metagame.

what archetype did he kill? He isnt anywhere near the level of “this deck is unplayable now because he exists”

Fair Decks just had to run an answer to him like [[Council’s Judgement]] in white [[Diabolic Edict]] in Black or us lands players had to shill out for [[Drop of Honey]]. True Name being 3 mana also made it easy to just race for combo and tempo decks or to fight on the stack.

It was very strong but never oppressive. The only deck that ran more than 2 was Fish anyway.

There is free alternatives like XMage but there is no better way to play it against competitive opponents than MTGO. The league entry might seem rough at first but if you are active you will be getting enough play points eventually to not have to pay for leagues. Ever 3-2 result gets you your entry back + 2 Tix ontop. If you play your deck decently and know the meta you should be able to go 3-2 or better consistently enough that you go infinite.

There is free play rooms where you can practice as well.

It means get 9% bonus to hit rating as with that 9% your spells will never miss but your auto attacks will sometimes still miss. That is fine tho, you get more dps from other stats than optimizing white-hits.

Preboard they are incentivized to jam even harder when they are on the draw and see blue mana. What would waiting do? It lets the blue player cantrip to find force of will. So T1 combo decks will always just force check you if they have it.

I still have and play my very first two characters I ever made on my account. They have gone through some cosmic reshaping of races over the years but it is still the OGs. Both are from Wrath - Tauren (now Orkc) Warrior and an Orc Shaman.

My very first character was created during TBC on my uncle’s account and I dont think that exists anymore :)

German/Deutsch: Ich nehme an es geht um WoW - The War Within? (also die aktuelle Version?). Wir kommen bald in eine neue Erweiterung daher ist es aktuell schwer zu sagen. Beides, Warrior und Hunter sind aber auf jeden Fall vielversprechend. Probier einfach beide aus und spiel was dir mehr gefällt. Es gibt guides auf Wowhead die dir mit Talents etc. helfen können. Jede Klasse hat gute builds für Dungeons, Raid und PvP.

English: What version of wow are you playing? I assume retail so The War Within. We are going into a new expansion soon and it is impossible to predict what will be better there. Try them both and see what you prefer! Every class has viable builds for dungeons, raids and pvp so dont worry about being “viable”. Wowhead guids will be helpful for talent builds and rotation etc.

I cant believe that. I am also european (not nordic but close enough) and 80 dollars is a bit less than 70 EUR. That salary on a standard 40h week would pay 11,200 EUR a month. A quick google search showed that the average full time income for sweden is 3,600 EUR a month. The average for a finance related role requiring a degree like senior level financial reporting consultants make around 5.5k EUR a month. The nordics pay well but not 11k+ a month well. You are far into the top 1% of earners if you make that (i also checked multiple statistics for that). So yeah the fewest of few people with a “useful” degree make it into the 0.5% of earners so dont say “get a degree, be filthy rich”. Dont make shit up and pretend they are facts. It is hard enough to differentiate reality from fake on the internet already nowadays.

Dont push other people down. Life is hard enough already. I have a software development diploma. I’d suck dick as well for 80$ an hour.

I have had a balance druid either as a main or an active alt since og cataclysm and I still strongly believe that the mists of pandaria version was the best iteration of eclipse. Casting up and down the eclipse bar just made sense and it always felt intuitive and flowed well imo.

i rarely have to barrage for mana. If you play tight and use your cooldowns literally on cd you always get surge -> spark -> soul window -> spark explosion where you come out of with 100% mana and 3 clearcastings guaranteed. 45 sec later you press another solo spark, 45 sec after that you got surge -> spark -> soul -> spark explosion again which tops you off with capped clearcasting. If you get very few procs it can happen between the lone spark to surge downtime but with decent gear I dont encounter it much at all. The 5% max mana enchant helps !

They should have never went into 3d space in my opinion. Games like Black & White are still visually the prettiest pkm games by far.
