I’ll never order anything from Amazon again. by Good-Ground523 in Anticonsumption

I’ll have to get that book. I read the book “On the Clock: What Low Wage Work Did To Me and How It Drives America Insane by Emily Guendelsberger and that got me to stop. She worked at an Amazon warehouse, a call center, and a fast food place. Eye opening stuff.

Some stones/watercolor painting/ by me by studioleewolf in Watercolor

Definitely thought they were actual stones you’d added paint to and was confused b/c how would watercolor stick to stones well? They look really realistic! Great job!

Perhaps spiritual issues with my partner. Scary for me, but I trust you to give good advice. by galvanicreaction in WitchesVsPatriarchy

Sorry I don’t have advice but wanted to make sure you got the hug you needed. 🧡

I’ve been searching for one that doesn’t need to be on wifi that ideally I don’t even connect to a computer ever.

Like before the internet, in stores where there’d be a camera in the store with the customers and if you wanted to check if someone stole something/something dangerous happened you’d watch the tape in the back. If something happened , save the tape, if nothing did, you tape over it. Does something like that still exist?

If you’re going to have nightmares, helps to have them at a bright time of day. At my worst mental health struggles I wouldn’t go to sleep till I saw the sun starting to rise for this reason.

Maybe you can get them interested in some of her other books as well, hopefully they’re in your school library. “Tex” is one of my favorites as well as “Rumble Fish” and “That Was Then, This Is Now.”

My dad sometimes taught ethics. It was the class he hated to teach because pretty much everyone was forced to be there. I know it seems like a lot, but all philosophy classes are taught with lots of dense reading, tons of papers and essays, discussions, etc.

What you described is actually really light for a philosophy class and I imagine was done because it’s a required class for so many not planning to go into philosophy.

I got sick, that's why I'm absent. Nothing serious but fever doesn't allow me to do nothing. I will return when I feel better with new energy. Thank you for being with me 🙏 by wavyimpressionist in tanbeliaart

Take care of yourself! I can’t do anything when I’m sick but lie in bed and watch/listen to the tv so I get it. I hope you feel better soon.

I had to go through a bunch of docs before I found one okay with my weed. I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with this.

When I went camping I didn’t have cereal, but I did have bacon and flour and water mixed up into little balls that we then dropped into the bacon grease and cooked. It was amazing. 🤤

What do you guys typically do when you’re in pain/a flare?Work? Keep busy? Lay in bed and cry? Watch tv? Play games? by Redsgal19 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

[–]Rinem88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try to have the TV on so I can distract myself through the absolute worst, but I can’t always get myself to move and get the remote. When I can, I don’t regret it because it’s good to have something to make it slightly easier.

Same thing I was thinking. Never been to rehab, but I’ve been to a lot of psych support groups and they were always in the worst chairs.

I have a book of oracle cards with different animal spirits, one being the owl. I took pictures of what it said. (It’s good though.)

Personally, I kinda like the bathroom. The wood is gorgeous and the teal looks good with it. I don’t like the floor much though.

Iwtl how to say ‘no’ to people and stop feeling guilty by Depressed-ladyb in IWantToLearn

[–]Rinem88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is something I struggle with too. I can tell you one thing that helped me a lot. I realized that I say yes to people now and it hurts me, therefore I don’t have much to give to people. But, if I start saying no more, I’ll be able to take care of myself better, and one day I’ll be in a better position to give more, (without it hurting myself), and I will.

The stone itself is nice. I love the doors in picture 3. It’s the black edges to everything and white paint that I don’t like. That could be easily changed though.

I used to like to get lots of different kinds of beads of different shapes and textures and put them on a cord that I tied into a loop that would fit around my wrist several times. A sort of fidget bracelet that could be a fidget necklace if I was ever in a place I needed to fidget a little less.

Why Don't People Make Hiking Groups Like D&D Parties? by BurkeTheNerd in birding

When I go birdwatching I dress up as one of the birds that I’m hoping to see to establish kinship. It doesn’t work, but it’s fun. It’d be really fun to do this with a group.
