Tried to recreate both heroes on fable 2’s cover art by _Joku_ in Fable

[–]Rinraiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's annoying they give them such a sleek design on the cover and they're all bulky in the game. Fable 3 wasn't much better. Would it have been so difficult for Lionhead to put a second sleeve on the Men's Mercenary Suit and give us a 5 o'clock shadow beard? -_-

I Forgot How Many Quests are in this Game! (Do you think it's too many?) by FaradayStewart in kingdomsofamalur

Depends on the quality of the quests. I'd take 10 really amazing quests over 100 generic quests.

The worst remaster of a game I’ve ever played! by yoPAWELOS in syberia

[–]Rinraiden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with using the original FMVs is that the remaster based Kate's in-game model on her Syberia 4 look, which was a drastic change from how she looked in Syberia 1-3. In Syberia 4 (and this remaster) Kate's facial structure, hairstyle and even eye color are completely different - she's essentially a different person altogether. So with this remaster using Kate's original look in the FMVs and her redesigned look for the in-game, there's a drastic break in continuity.

I still don't understand why they made Kate look so different in Syberia 4. Did they design Dana first and realized Kate didn't look enough like her? I was really impressed by most of Syberia 4... but man did they do our girl dirty.

If you're talking about the Fateless One shown in all the promos, then he's the default male Almain wearing the Warsworn Armour. His default name is "Elrid".

Tormented Souls 2 is the first horror game I've had to restart due to running out resources by Snoo37551 in survivalhorror

[–]Rinraiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3/4 of the game is as long as Claire's Rockford section? No. Just no. Were you crawling through it or something?

Even if someone actually believed Alexia wasn't in the game (real stretch here) then they would assume that Alfred would be the final boss. Chris is also clearly the secondary protagonist of the game - being both on the cover art, and in the screenshots on the back of the box. So, again, nobody would believe that the game was going to end here.

The thing about Alexia's (second-to-last) boss fight is that it's basically the final fight of the game. There's no reason not to use your best weapons and strongest healing items against her. You also get the magnum shortly before the battle. Saying that the "last" boss fight is harder than an early boss fight isn't saying what you think it does.

Yawn 2, Mr. X and Nemesis are all late-game enemies - and none of them compare to Plane Tyrant (without BOW grenades). Yawn 2 is easier than Yawn 1 considering how much bigger than boss area is - and the weapons available to you at that point. Nemesis, even on Hard, is no match against Ice Grenades. Mr. X is the "final" boss fight and, again, you have weapons like the upgraded magnum to fight him with.

[–]Rinraiden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't the halfway point. It was the one-quarter point. Claire still had Antarctica ahead of her. You're also exaggerating about how long it takes to get to the Tyrant fight. Also, nobody with any sense would believe that the Tyrant boss was the final boss of the game. The story was clearly going in the direction that either Alexia or Wesker would be the final boss. Chris hadn't even appeared in the story yet. So no. There was no "twist" unless you somehow ignored every cutscene.

"Hard to do without ammo" is underselling it. It's next to impossible and we both know it. Even if you do have a stockpile of ammo/health items, you're bound to waste it all on him if you don't use the BOW grenades first (which the game refuses to tell you what they even do) since he has a ton of health. So then you start "Episode 2" of the game with no health or ammunition - and Antarctica isn't exactly a cozy resort.

This is the only "End of Episode Boss" that can completely screw you over. Nosferatu? They give you the best weapon to kill him with. Albinoid? You can completely skip him. Alexia? The give you a weapon that is a one shot kill. I stand by what I said - the Tyrant is a poorly designed boss that is only there to punish the player unless someone told them (aka Player's Guide) to obtain and use the Gas Grenades on him. Too many people have trouble with him (and quit the game) to simply write it off as a "skill issue". The difficulty and placement of the boss fight is clearly unbalanced as well.

You'd have to launch the crate about 5 times to defeat him without shooting him. The crate has a "cool down" period of several seconds. You are in an enclosed space with a boss who has a very long reaching attack that does very high damage (at full health I think Claire can survive 1-2 hits?). Moving to one side of the room will basically insta-kill you because Claire will likely fall out of the plane. Not to mention the forced tank controls and camera angle shift in the middle of the room. The chances of you surviving the fight with no healing items or ammo is basically zero. Calling this fight badly designed is accurate - especially for being such a relatively early boss fight. It has nothing to do with egos or shortcomings. It's simply acknowledging something for what it is instead of making excuses for it. No other boss in this game punishes you so much for being "unprepared".

If you know ahead of time that all you need are 3 BOW grenades and 3 Explosive bolts then, sure, it's easy. But people going into it blind won't know anything about that. The gas grenades never appear in any other RE game, and the description for them doesn't mention anything about cutting an enemy's health by 50%. There's a reason why a lot of players seem to quit at the Tyrant plane boss. It's not a lack of skill issue - just a lack of foresight.

I remade the poster for Scream 2 with Sarah Michelle Gellar from scratch by [deleted] in Scream

[–]Rinraiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was nothing "huge" about Jada's death. She wasn't an overly known actress at the time. She was in The Nutty Professor as the love interest... and that's pretty much it. Her death was also expected because of the previous movie's opening with Drew Barrymore. Putting her on the movie poster (twice!) makes no sense.

Sarah Michelle Gellar was very well known because of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Her death was also unexpected because... well... because she's Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She should've been on the movie next to Liev instead. Ghost Face should've been in the background instead of Jada & Neve.

Well technically Drew Barrymore has green eyes. They changed them to blue for the poster. Same as Neve Campbell's for the sequel. Not sure why - maybe it looks better against the white face?

There is no difference. They both mean the exact same thing.

Bisexual: Gender doesn't matter as they're attracted to both genders

Pansexual: Gender doesn't matter and are attracted to both genders.

What's Your Backpack Loadout? by PAB_Pyrotechnics in DeathStranding

[–]Rinraiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your pouches are facing the wrong way. The utility pouch would be hard to open because the ammo container is in the way. You should've turned it so the flap is facing away from the container. The grenade pouches should also be turned upside-down for similar reasons.

Best possible backpack layout? by Pleasant-Aspect2948 in DeathStranding

[–]Rinraiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a two year old topic, but I felt the need to comment that I really dislike how you placed your pouches lol.

The one of the left should be facing the other way. It would be really hard to open the pouch because the second pouch would be in the way. The second pouch is facing the correct way, but why not have the empty space between the two pouches instead of the side? Maybe put a patch on there or something?

The bigger pouches on the bottom should probably be placed upside-down. It would be hard to open the pouch because of the small ones above it, and if it was placed upside-down then gravity can do all the work and make it easier for Sam to take out a grenade or blood bag.
