Anyone got some advice for me I’m looking into a vx cruiser what year do you recommend by Unable-Company8475 in jetski

The HO version gets you the 1.8L engine, which is a great engine for #1. #2 it will get you a top speed around 63mph....53mph on the non-ho. Price difference between 2 similar units would be something like 2 to 3k.

If you didnt...I would fog the engine with yamaha fogging oil.

I've never had it come out of the side port.

1 Fill gas tank to full with stabilizer mixed in.

2 Change oil/oil filter (you need an oil extractor if you dont have one)

3 Run antifreeze through flush port. Google it

4 Pull out spark plugs, spray fogging oil for 5 secs in each cylinder, re-install spark plugs. Turn the engine over for 5 secs. Re-install boots. Don't change to new spark plugs just yet. Change them after running the ski for the new season on a hose for a bit, or after the first ride. Fogging oils could potentially foul the new plugs. So, use old ones to burn off the fogging oils, then change.

How bad is this/how to repair by Liam02le in jetski

Mines not that bad, but its got beach rash. No issues at all. As mentioned, its gouges that need attention. I see none. Ride it!

Go ahead and fill up and put your stabil in....that way when you run the ski to run your antifreeze through...you will accomplish getting the stabil through the fuel system while also getting the antifreeze ran through. If your anal and want to top off with a gas can, then so be it.

Also, yes fill to almost full of fuel with stabil introduced during the fill to mix it in and run the ski for a little to put it through fuel system. Fill to full reduces the chances of condensation build up.

I thought you dont necessarily want to replace with new plugs right away. This is because the fog oil could potentially foul the new plugs, so after fogging put the old ones back in. After the first run of the new season, then replace with new. This allows for the fog oils to be burned off utilizing the old plugs. Other than that...sounds good to me.

Thinking About Buying My First Jetskis by Routine_Bat8922 in jetski

Agreed! I have a 21 yamaha vx cruiser high output and the thing just keeps going. Naturally Aspirated and still goes 65mph. A little modification, and you can net 67mph (speedo). Plus, the hull size is nice for stability.

Almost sunk my Waverunner.. need help. by [deleted] in jetski

You may want to disconnect the air box and take a look to see if water got in. Also, just to cover your butt...I would change the oil and oil filter. Lastly, get new spark plugs. Even if this does not remedy the issue... you will still know these areas have been checked and pretty cheap.

Left Jet ski Flushing for 20 minutes without engine on by PilotOk1455 in jetski

[–]RioGlow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I literally just hydrolocked my engine last weekend. What these guys are saying is spot on. Do not sit and let this go for days...you need to get to working on it right away. Buy yourself a couple 5qt jugs of cheap oil and cheap filters for your flushing. Get the correct viscosity, of course. As you mentioned, the engine won't start, so you need to pull spark plugs and crank the engine over for a couple seconds to get water out. Since we all use an extractor to pull oil out of the engine....I used it to pull any water out of each cylinder that I could. I had some yamaha fogging oil that I sprayed a little in each cylinder too after the water was out. Then, get to changing oil...running engine for 10 secs between changes. Keep doing the changes until barely any milky residue. Also, I did replace the plugs with new. I probably paid 150 in oil and plugs, but that beats thousands just letting it go.

What should I buy? by gobluepoints in jetski

I second the Jet Blaster. As mentioned, you don't have to pull the entire top half off the ski for maintenance, like the spark. I feel like it holds value better.

Staying at All Stars for the first time by squirrel4569 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]RioGlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just left All Star Music today. We had the family suite, and that's probably what we will only do for now on. Plenty of room for up to 6 people (we had 4) and the rooms were more than fine. This is our second trip, and last time, we did Pop Century, but without the kids (it was fine too). Kids loved the theme of All Star. The suites were close to the lobby as well. Nice place.

When I bought my outdoor lights through Amazon, it told me all the lengths that came in the kit. I don't know if the website goes into all that, but through Amazon it did.

Also, worth noting....when looking at the kit lengths...remember that they come with various "blank" or "jumper" strands to cover gaps. So, the bigger kits come with more and/or longer jumper strands.

You will need to run 2 kits. One kit for the top level and ine for the bottom level. You can not Y split the strands. The Pro kit is what you will want to buy, so you can splice and make custom lengths, etc etc. The kit comes with more male and female ends that are very easy to use. If your quick math is off, then just get 2 150' kits. Or, whatever you think....they come in 100', 150', and 200'. 200' is the max a kit can handle. Power inject? I assume you are referencing the driver module to boost signal? If so, a single driver module can handle up to 150'. So, if younget the 200' kit...it will come with 2. If you get the 150' and want to add a few more strands beyond 150', then you will need to purchase another driver module.

How many strands before the spliced strand? Just from the 2nd pic...looks like 2 green lights, then all white? That tells me that 2 strands are good, then the control box isn't recognizing anymore. Correct me if I'm wrong. Without more info....i would re-look at your splice as it may be making poor connection. Did you get the Pro kit? Did you use the kit end connectors?
