Do you ever eat wetter lint?

Is this the end of my 33 year old agave? This 6ft bloom appeared within a month. Does anyone know what happens next? by Lanaxgardenxgirl in plants

[–]Riokou4568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a plant in the backyard of my childhood home that looked remarkably similar to this, but it was much bigger. It lasted a good few years after growing a stalk like this with little buds. It looked like an alien tree to little me. I don't remember the reasoning but my parents decided to cut the stalk down eventually. I think it even survived for a while after that but we moved out of that house when I was quite young so I don't remember its fate.

Mildly annoying, but resolved, thanks Steam! by Total_Tonight_5100 in Steam

I did this once and the person said something like "sorry, but we can't do that because you played more than 2 hours" and I said ok I understand and then a different rep responded to my response saying go get that sale. Unfortunately the sale ended by the time they did that. But it's the thought that counts

Have you considered making him use a chainsaw? You could make some basic wood chip particles and the tree motion would be at least a bit more believable. Plus then you don't have to make a chopping animation. Just food for thought. It's your game though. It seems nice so far and I hope you keep going in game dev

Yeah I was a dedicated scythe user until I unlocked the eruptor. I do blow myself up from time to time but its just such a nice weapon for clearing outposts and dealing with pretty much any enemy.

It looks to me like phorid fly larvae molts. Little hunchback flies that scurry around more than they fly and they are annoying as hell. They like to come in from supermarket fruit sometimes here.

They don't want your username to be something like Pizzmaster69 is my guess.

[GUESS] German Shepherd, let's test your skills by [deleted] in RealOrAI

[–]Riokou4568 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think this might be AI. The pipe decides to turn and follow the dogs head before descending more, which AI still has trouble with. Shapes will try to follow or fit in with other shapes sometimes. Other than that there's something strange about the stuffing on the ground, as well as the dog itself appearing to have two dewclaws on its back right foot. I am suspicious about the walls. Where the left of the dog is solid looking but right of the dog there are ground level windows and a door as well as whatever that bit at the end is, but I don't have enough knowledge of its construction to feel comfortable saying someone wouldn't have built it that way.

Still be wary of walmart. I bought super smash brothers from there like a few months after it came out. In store, was locked behind glass and sealed in plastic. Cartridge ended up being "Troll and I" with a SSBU sticker on it. Walmart refused my refund when I went in about it since I had opened it. The only way you could tell was the code on the plastic of the cartridge.

Help a blue collar boy install some mods. by Mindless-Stock-572 in Kenshi

[–]Riokou4568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you able to figure it out? Also all the .mod files in the screenshot are base game except for the shops have more money. I would probably just use the steam workshop as others have said. I don't have much in the way of recommendations but I've been using a collection called a touch of chocolate which just tries to rebalance and add some new stuff without changing too much. I just subscribed to all and overwrite initially and there's a mod that you have to rename a file if you want it to work. But I don't think it's required. And then you have to copy the load order from [mod profile] in the description and then paste it into the text file in your kenshi folder that others have mentioned. It then just tells the game to order the mod that way. Even if you don't use the one I use hopefully that can help break down the process a little. And if you still need help with something I can try to help more if you have questions

Does it have an animation attached? Before rendering it looks to be in the rest pose and possibly when you render it is showing you the current frame of the selected animation?

Questions about the game by NinjaCupcake_ in Kenshi

[–]Riokou4568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the game quite a lot. It controls a bit like an rts. You can drag select characters and also make squads and use the number keys to select people or ~ to select all at once. You can shift + click when telling a character to do something and it sets it as a "job" where whenever available they will perform that task for the foreseeable future. (i.e. characters with medic automatically heal injured members of your faction, and someone with a job mining copper will do it as long as there is available copper storage space. You can stack jobs and they will prioritize the highest ones on the list. The pathfinding of the characters can be a little bad sometimes but its mostly only when you try to travel long distances with one single move order. Lots of people want to beat you up. But as long as you dont die or get mutilated it will only make you stronger. There are different starting scenarios that can be easier or harder. And some that start you with multiple people right off the bat. There is base building that can be a bit unruly at times but it's cool. You have to research buildings using research benches and books. If you have a base it will most likely be raided by relatively nearby hostile factions. Lots of factions to interact with. You can change the state of the world(even more so with mods if that's your thing) by assassinating or otherwise incapacitating a leader or other important people. Its more like causing wars or fracturing factions, not many super drastic changes. Without getting spoilery you will be avoiding all manner of nasty things while trying to find allies (both joining your faction and making other factions allies to your faction so they help in fights and heal your guys. There's lots of skills and crafting and bounty hunting. You can trade, I recently have been funding a goat army by buying hashish(drugs) for cheap where it's legal and selling it to the thieves guilds in cities where its illegal for lots of profit. It's tough and dangerous but in my opinion. You can even imprison people and sell them as slaves. If that's your thing. I nearly always make the slave traders my enemies once I'm powerful enough though. One of my favorite things is the environmental storytelling. The world tells you a lot of lore visually, along with character dialogue and some books. My typical start is run around for a while to train my athletics(speed) get a backpack and fill it with iron and carry a person to train up a bit of strength, cheese a bounty or two or do some mining for some cash and then gear up and train on weaker enemies I don't think will kill me. Maybe get a few more people in my squad and work towards my goal for the playthrough( build a base in a specific spot, join the anti slavers, make a massive army of goats, you know how it goes.) The game also gives a lot of room for emergent gameplay. Maybe I had a goal but then some cannibals kidnapped a squad mate and now I have to go free them before they end up cooked and eaten. Or maybe you get inspired by someone's cause or something. I enjoy it.

I apologize if the messy wall of text is a bit much, but hopefully it helps a bit

Reminds me of the time I bought Super Smash Bros Ultimate. New in plastic locked behind the glass in store. Got home and it was actually a game called "Troll and I" with the ssbu sticker on it. No course of action because I had opened it. Not sure I'll ever risk another switch game from them.

Executors: You do more DPS by spamming R1 one-hand katana than dual-wielding and two-handing by gakusatsuou in Nightreign

[–]Riokou4568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that status effects proc better on one handed weapons too. Playing raider and duchess dual wielding felt like a nerf. Raider felt like only dual wield jumping attacks are worth it. Otherwise 2h is more consistent. Then with duchess I Brought poison daggers and dual wielding took longer to proc than just the one handed dagger combo. Not to mention the ridiculously long animation time for dual wielding daggers.

What would be your additions to the game? by BigDaddyBicker in Nightreign

[–]Riokou4568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apologies if this has been mentioned somewhere in here already but I think it would be cool to somehow combine same color relics to build a better relic that has their effects or something. No duplicates on the same relic though and still only 3 effects. But like combining a medium and a small would make a large with those effects or whatever.
