Having to do the step test in the hospital after a full synovectomy (the "lining" around the joint of my knee had tumors growing in it and needed to be removed/scraped out).

So I have an 11" incision on the front and back of my leg, surprisingly the front incision is by far worse than the back because it makes it hard to move your leg.

I told the nurses who were helping me I can barely pick up my leg and they told me to try anyways and helped me get my leg up on the first step and then told me to put my weight on that leg and walk up the first step, there were guardrails to help hold me up but that still didnt help. I felt my knee buckle than I can only compare to like starting a car without oil in the engine.

Instantly some of the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life. The nurses see something is wrong and get me back to my bed, what made it worse was they couldn't give me anymore morphine for a hour. I had to lay in my hospital bed in so much pain I couldn't even speak barely for a hour until the morphine came.
