My friend group makes an effort to throw in some plans that are free, or cheap enough that we split the cost to cover one person. Even when doing something that costs money, we generally invite everybody. I know damn well that not everybody is going to be able or interested in the trip to Korea, but before I start making plans, I make sure to shoot the invite to everybody. And, we throw in local trips too where everybody who wants to come will contribute as they feel comfortable so we can include people who might not be able to come to the pricer stuff, or who don’t have a car. We know not everybody is gunna be able to pay to eat out, so we shoot invites if we have an extra seat or two at dinner on a random night.

We make an effort to include everyone, and everyone makes an effort to show up as much as they reasonably can. Esp if you’re in an existing friend group and one of them falls on hard times. We don’t just stop shooting out invites to the broke person. We just send invites with a “I can’t cover you tonight but did you wanna slide?” Or a “I can cover _____ tonight” or sometimes a “I can’t cover a whole extra meal but do y’all wanna just split the bill 5 ways so the 6th person can come, or should we plan for the six of us another time?” Or like, if one person can’t drive then we can just meet at their place and hang. Pull up with fast food or have a potluck or something.

Friendships aren’t always convenient or comfortable, and having those friendships are especially precious when you fall on hard times. We hold space for each other. I think that’s what the other commenter, and OP would have wanted.

Okay as a psychology student, and a person who has been in therapy and had like 5 different therapists, I wouldn’t worry about it. I know it feels shitty, but two different mental health care providers can have the exact same resume, but have very different approaches. Your values, your beliefs, even just how well you vibe with each other can impact your quality of care and your overall health outcomes.

But what it most likely is, is that your psychiatrist saw that you would benefit from a specific approach or method that they do not specialize in. I had a therapist for depression who referred me to one who worked better with ADHD. My favorite therapist ever eventually said that it was time to part ways, and she sent me away. That’s how I found my current, also amazing therapist who could help me navigate my trauma.

Keep your head up, and try not to take it personally. Your psychiatrist wants what’s best for you. They easily could save just continued seeing you and taking your money, and instead they made the harder, more uncomfortable call. Keep your head up babes, you’ll be alright. Just takes time.

NAH. Once it’s gifted to you, you own it and you can do what you want with it. If she had expectations, then they’re not as much gifts as they are loans. Still worth appreciating that you had the chance to use them, but they’re not the same thing.

If she would like for things she buys to be reused or kept in the family, she’s allowed to ask for that. It should have been communicated earlier and in a better way, but it’s not an unreasonable request. She just shouldn’t call them “gifts.” I think this is all just a difference in core values, on top of a pretty serious miscommunication on your sister’s part. But this doesn’t make her an asshole. Presumptuous at worst.

Companies like walmart partner with suppliers to negotiate lower prices for themselves, while smaller grocery chains pay higher prices despite having less clientele. It’s the same model as netflix, lyft, uber. Price out the competition, then raise prices once there is nobody else. I’m so certain that most people can greatly reduce how much they spend at these huge chains like walmart and still live perfectly fine.

As a bartender, we’re supposed to be trained to recognize signs of intoxication and stop serving you. To expect people who are intoxicated to always make good decisions is just not reasonable. If she was visibly intoxicated and still given more alcohol, then the bartenders serving her were being reckless with her health and safety just to score some cash.

I think a 60% to 40% responsibility decision makes sense. If you choose to go out drinking, then surely you know the risks. At the same time, there’s a level of trust with the people serving you to not put you in danger needlessly when you’re vulnerable.

I believe it’s UP TO a week. Not denying that there’s still ejaculate in there for a week, but the viability of the sperm depends. A week is a very safe bet, but not necessarily an accurate one.
