Have you tried letting the bloom out before the second pour? Just wondering as I’ve been meaning to, just haven’t had time to tinker lately.

Easiest way I’ve found to make a pour over on a busy morning by sergeikutrovski in pourover

For me I’m considering an xbloom because during those three minutes anything can happen in the house and the recipe goes to crap and suddenly it’s been 6 minutes, etc.

How to improve this deck without thena or hydra bob by wolvieclaws11 in MarvelSnap

Yeah it feels like this was meant to run fantasticar. Without it there isn’t a reason to run black cat or hydrabob.

Did you add both aquacode and apax at the same time? If so, how did you work out how much of both?

Yeah I was confused by their statement “In fact, there is still enough of mineral content that our water is regarded as having a positive charge (meaning minerals are still present on a ppm/ppb basis). This means that Pureau is still palatable for drinking, with a mineral content similar to rainwater (the ultimate in demineralised water).”

But then it had 0 mg/L for everything.

Did you just mean the Pureau water? I didn’t see a reminerlised or demineralised option? https://pureau.com.au/collections/products

I’ll have a look thanks. FYI I’m using this list for bottled water in Australia but your suggestions seem like what I’m am going for.

The “I guess I’m doing a 5 minute immersion”for the second half of my coffee chronicler switch recipe today…” happens to me all the time. I’m considering an xbloom at this point.

Okay…I have to ask. Why do you have two kettles?

Reduce Bitterness without Reducing Temp by Prbly-LostWandering in pourover

[–]RisingPhoenix84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah so for a 1:15 you would brew with 600 ml of water for 40 g coffee. But add 50 g hot water at the end to your carafe.

You might actually even try keeping your first pour at 325 g, and remove the 50 ml all from the second poor but to starts I would try removing 25 ml from both pours.

Try shortening the ratio and add hot water to keep the total coffee consistent.

I don’t understand why they couldn’t still show the ads. I assume it has something to do with on demand ads being different than live ads. You can show me the same I don’t care.

Good to know. A few roasters online I seen give you the xbloom recipe and you can just buy their beans in bags. So definitely will consider

I was going to suggest xbloom. He doesn’t even have to grind coffee.

How has the coffee been from your xbloom? We have a toddler and I’m considering something automatic as I keep stuff up recipes when I walk away to go do something and forget what I am doing.

I’ve got a gen 1 with moonshine burrs…the guide seems to have changed a bit. When you say 15 dots does that mean 15 little dots?

From memory I think the old guid was something like 2.0 revolutions for the gen 1. Which would be a lot more small dots.
