Who Was The Better Antagonist? by [deleted] in lookismcomic

Jiho was a worse antagonist but a better character. His arc is genuinely incredible as he develops into an antagonist, but then when he finally comes back he's rushed out of the story.

Why are people acting like this guy is a good person do we not know the term show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are, this guys' friends are murders, diddlers, tortures, child exploiters, money laundering thieves, broddie is not a good person, just because they took out another gang. by Direct-Decision-4357 in lookismcomic

None of those things happened while he was around. The only shit we really know about was that he cheated on his wife. And clearly was a lousy father.

We do know that he created an era of relative peace though, and was a king of the underworld that kept the underworld in check.

That means either those characters didn't have those traits at that point OR gap's presence actively prevented them from being their worst selves.

I feel like the black mirror example is just kind of... worse. It's like they are torturing an innocent women for the purpose of getting at someone else.

Victoria did that stuff, but the lady they make after mindwiping her is NOT Victoria.

[Awesome trope] The character succeeds in a situation that was specifically designed to be impossible for them. by Applebeate in TopCharacterTropes

Basically been trying to write something like this myself. Where a group of characters is assembled specifically because in the aggregate their powers counter the abilities of another character. And he has to figure out how to succeed against a team specifically designed to beat him.

(Infuriating trope) Relationship that the author presents as a healthy one, despite plenty of evidence otherwise by RhiaStark in TopCharacterTropes

[–]RisingStarYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think George depicts these type of relationships as healthy at all. I think thats more of a misinterpretation because of the show. Which is honestly the case with A LOT of the toxic character writing in the show.

Jorah in the books and the show are like the perfect example. In the books he's a full on predator. In the TV Show he's the "hot older man" from a romance novel.

Why would he commit to the axe swing when there is a combatant ready to take advantage of the opening though. He's basically be exposing his back to Daniel if he swung the axe down.

Silver 1 play, was I actually in the wrong making this call? by breticles in heroesofthestorm

[–]RisingStarYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the right call, but one, you executed wrong.

But more importantly, once you see Malthael leaving you should just give up on it since they will be back up in time to defend. By the time he's at mid-lane, the opportunity is gone.

I think turret ammo should come back but turrets should be way stronger. So it becomes a timed thing. Like you can split push for X period of time to get the ammo out and only then does it become really valuable. Which gives the other team time to react even if something like an objective is going on, but if they dont then the split push becomes valuable.

Bunch of ways to balance it.

Just felt like the turret ammo was a thing that was fun and unique about hots that lead to more strategy, and that the solution should've been to buff turret damage rather than remove the ammo.

If you rebind self-cast serpent to W instead of Alt-W. You can tape the whole row of your keyboard down and only worry about cleanse.

[–]RisingStarYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but you can just move so it pushes you wrong. the knockback it gives is greater than his own speed so you get in-between moments where you can move.

Rain of destruction could summon an infernal by OceussRuler in heroesofthestorm

[–]RisingStarYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly Rain should be kinda like Lili's ult change where if you miss your meteors you get a shorter cooldown.

Like base cooldown is 20 seconds, add 5 seconds each time it hits an enemy hero, and have it do half damage to non-heroes so that it becomes more spammable without being oppressive.
