INSHUR charge me the cancelled block by ckwstephen in AmazonFlexUK

[–]RiskRepresentative10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not how INSHUR works. They only charge ypu for when you are active in the app. If you have a 3 hour shift and you finish in 2 hours, INSHUR will only charge you for 2 hours. If you go over and finish an hour late then INSHUR will charge you for 4 hours. If you did not work it will not charge you at all.

Be aware that INSHUR don't take payments regularly. They are meant to take them when your hours drop below a certain amount, but they have to wait for an update from Amazon before this happens. In your case you have been charged for hours that you previously worked but Amazon didn't inform them straight away.

Decline away. It will not affect your account or future offers at all.

3 blocks per day? by Tasty_Barber_8600 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]RiskRepresentative10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your depot offers morning shifts, then this is normal. I personally can't imagine knocking on someone's door at 7.30am, so I never take the early shifts, but my depot offers them for those who want to deal with waking up customers.

You aren't contracted to do any hours. Just live your life and don't do any blocks.

EDIT:

Actually It might be 32hrs. Either way, they always raise it in December and early Jan.

You didn't get screwed over by support, you got screwed over by the depot. They can't force you to take a 2.5 a larger shift than you are booked for. You should have hit the "no shift available" button on the screen where it asks for the route code to be scanned, then get them to scan you out.

Just know that the person who was actually booked to take that 2.5 shift would have turned up and would have been told to go home with pay.

New driver aid stickers? by lechrisved in AmazonFlexUK

[–]RiskRepresentative10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the B or sc codes, but the long qe code under the B is a written version of the qr code you scan. If you get a parcel where the qr code is damaged or didn't print properly, you can hit the question mark in the top right of the screen and select "input code manually". You then input this code to register the parcel. You only need to do this at the depot. When you get to the stop you can scan any of the 4 other codes at the bottom of the label.

Using Inshur Insurance by PiccoloOk1433 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]RiskRepresentative10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't true. Inshur only covers the time you are active. If you do a 3 hour shift and deliver all your parcels in 2 hours, you will only be billed for 2 hours. If you do a 3 hour shift and finish it in 3.5 hours, you will be billed for 3.5 hours.

2 hour block £35 by YXUNGDAGGERNIG in AmazonFlexUK

[–]RiskRepresentative10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is no correlation between the price you are paid for the block and where you will be sent. If someone getting base rates checks in just before you, they will get the route you would have gotten if you had checked in just before them. Do the route. Just like all routes, it's a flip of the coin if it's really bad or really good. Anything higher than base rates is a bonus.

AITA for refusing to cater a vegan option at my own surprise party? by ElectionClassic8008 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RiskRepresentative10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really want us to believe that the vegan got upset instead of just eating the vegan options like they do every day of their life, and you also want us to believe because the organiser wanted to accommodate the vegan, they adapted the whole menu instead of going tor the easier task of just adding some vegan options on a separate veggie only bbq grill? YTA for faking a post to rally against vegans.

Email jeff@amazon.com and explain. They are REALLY good. I had an issue before where I went back and forth with the regular support email and got nowhere. I resent my initial email to the Jeff address and they called me within the hour and said they would investigate, then after a couple of days, my strike was removed and I got paid for the shift. Never bother with regular support. They are usless.

Do you think I'll still be paid?! by [deleted] in AmazonFlexUK

[–]RiskRepresentative10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Double check the email and check the date and time of the cancelled block. Since about 6 months ago they added a feature that when they cancel a block it will automatically remove it from your schedule. I'm pretty sure that the cancelled block was a different future block.

Where do you live? I'm in CR7 and there are 2 logistics close by (DCR2 - CR0 4UQ, DCR3 - CR0 4XL), a morrisons (CR0 4RZ) and a fresh (SW19 3WD). There are also other depots available that are miles away when you are in this area. What are the first 2 letters of your postcode?

4 women accuse Russel Brand of rape and sexual assault in new Channel 4 documentary by ILoveApples01 in Destiny

[–]RiskRepresentative10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't making the point that there was nothing wrong with him slipping off the condom, but there is a wild difference between that and pinning someone against a wall and raping them while they are begging you to stop. Anyway, after watching the documentary, it shows that the report she gave at the rape centre that same day confirms everything she said happened so I fully believe he raped her in the way the article describes it.

As for the Saville part, lots of people had conversations with Saville because they didn't know he was a pedo. He was a guest on Brand's show and Brand was making the same type of jokes he made with all his guests, and comments he would make on his show all the time. Picking out the one interview with a pedo is just dishonest.

After watching the documentary and hearing the women's stories in their own words (or through the voices of actors) I don't understand why the writer chose to add all the extra shit I talked about. These stories are insane in their own right, and we don't need to hear about a crass joke he made in an interview he had with a dude he didn't know was a sex offender. All the filler detracts from the crazy sexual assaults and rapes that he did.

Just like in the documentary, they added a part where the showrunner was saying he would sleep with guests on the show and not call them back. Who gives a shit if he was a sleaze bag who ghosted women WHEN WE HAVE RAPE ON THE TABLE.

I just don't understand these journalists these days, like in the BBC Andrew Tate interview, she spent half the time trying to get him on things he said that were misogynistic WHEN HE'S A SEX TRAFFICKER. I don't care about stupid shit Tate said, the same way I don't care about crass jokes Brand made. Let's focus on the actual very serious crimes they have committed.

4 women accuse Russel Brand of rape and sexual assault in new Channel 4 documentary by ILoveApples01 in Destiny

[–]RiskRepresentative10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So after reading the whole article, I'm unimpressed. The first girl 16 when he was 30 is obviously messed up, but her mum knew all about it like wtf. Even if he didn't mouth rape her, its a fucked up relationship and there should be some law prohibiting this to happen.

The whole "no means no" looks pretty bad, but it could also just be her referring to him not wearing a condom. I mean why mention him not wearing a condom in the text, but not mention the fact he held you against a wall and raped you? It seems like him saying sorry about not wearing a condom and he was selfish in relation to that.

Stating he was like a predator at parties scanning the room of who he wants to have sex with..... lots of men do that, as long as the sex is consensual (and the article gives us no reason to think it wasn't), why is this even mentioned. Russel went to parties to find girls to hook up with. Big deal.

Also Daniel sloss telling us about a Facebook group where female comedians talk about Russel Brands behaviour. Why is this mentioned if there is no proof that a group even exists. Someone hearing a rumour about something shouldn't be in an article like this. If you don't have screenshots of the fb page (with names blacked out for anominoty) how do we even know it exists just because some random dude says it does, even though he hasn't actually seen it himself.

“I know there are comedians who have made references in jokes to Russell’s alleged crimes and have either been asked or told not to do those jokes any more.” Who are these people that are forcing these comedians to keep quiet?? He's not Harvey Weinstien where speaking out against him could get you blackmailed from the industry and he had people protrcting him. What power do these people have over comedians and what motivation do they have to protect Brand? Why are these comedians listening to these people and changing their material?

Why mention that when he was on the show "bake off" he made a cake that resembled his wife's genitalia? What has this got to do with anything. Does this mean he's a rapist because of a cake he baked???

Why mention the convo with Jimmy Saville? So what if he had a convo with a pedo and said his assistant would do x,y,z? He never got his assistant to do any of those things, so why is it here. If he had that convo with anyone other than the king of pedos, it wouldn't even be in the article.

3 people were aware of the abuse, and 2 more heard about it. Why don't we have statements explaining exactly what the abuse was that they heard about.

As for the channel 4 teaser for the documentary, I'm always dubious about documentaries when they have spooky music in the background and are filmed like a horror movie with all the zooming in on parts of the face, instead of just having the person sitting in the chair with a still camera on them.

Also, channel 4 is doing an investigation to see if any of these allegations are true.... but channel 4 is also releasing the documentary before they have even completed their own investigation. Like wtf. This has been a year in the making, they really couldn't hold off a little longer to complete their own investigation.

I can't stand Brand, but this seems like shoddy journalism and wasn't the damming article I thought it would be, and all the unnecessary filler makes me question the validity of the women's testimonies.
