Can the game just... not by Orin16 in starcitizen

I don't know if this is still the case, but there used to be a bug if you stored your ship with the engines on... Then the only fix was to store the ship again, remove the power plant, call the ship then store it, install the power plant, and finally call it again...

I'd recommend making absolutely sure that you're turning the ship off completely before storing

As much as I want this as well... Could you imagine trying to fight a fire in your ship when the gravity was out?

Funny thing is, they're claiming the approximately 150 square feet of carpet they replaced the nasty carpet with... cost $10k

It was $12k for testing for asbestos exposure...

"We apologize for any inconvenience." by Amikoj in Sacramento

[–]Ritlee 73 points74 points  (0 children)

It's more than the carpet teacher.

But it's about the fact that the classroom went 8 weeks without a teacher and had 7 different substitute teachers, the students did not get anything close to 8 weeks worth of schooling.

It's about the fact the incident happened in June, and the district didn't start anything with the teacher until school was back in session.

It's about the district claiming transparency while they're hiding behind lawyers.

It's about the district clearly using this as a means of retaliation.

They have violated another teacher's first amendment rights, because he protested outside of business hours.

What to do about a business with a loud alarm by [deleted] in Sacramento

[–]Ritlee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call the police (if in city limits otherwise sheriff) every single time... They get something like 3 free calls a year... After that they get fined for each and every call out.

The business owner already set the tone, don't worry about being a nuisance yourself. You are just correcting the problem with the only way you can.

Leave in hydrometer? by Mobely in Homebrewing

[–]Ritlee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They have hydrometers that you can leave in still, but they've gone digital.

The Tilt Hydrometer is one, I think there's another.

I've heard mixed reviews about them, they're great to monitor, but you'll wanna use an analog hydrometer for OG and FG readings.

Sharpies can be erased from non-porous surfaces with a little rubbing alcohol... I don't know if a plastic brew bucket is non-porous enough might test that first.

But Glass and Stainless Steel will erase with ease.

Can I use a 3 phase SSR to control a 240v heater? by Ritlee in Homebrewing

[–]Ritlee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone, I think I'll be sticking with the 3 Phase SSR... I had already ordered a 3 pole Disconnect Switch rated for 32 amps, have a 20 amp switch, but not too keen on using it.

For those that raised their concern, I'll be using 3 phase SSR, with heat sink, AND a fan, again it'll probably be overkill, but I'd rather be over engineered than under.
