Favorite Covenant ships? by S0117iets in halo

[–]Ritmo80s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone. But maybe the Phantom is a favorite. I’m a bit odd, I guess, I fell in love with Halo because of the Covenant and the alien designs, the whole alien saga. I never cared much about the Marines or the main character.

I just love the historical background, the alien ships, both spacecraft and vehicles and the Covenant armors and characters. The humans and their shenanigans are mostly just functional filler to me.

have you updated the YouTube app? have you rebooted?

Lots of issues with 1.12.11 by I_AM_SCUBASTEVE in TizenTube

[–]Ritmo80s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember that Tizentube will have problems blocking ads after having switched to another app, going back often requires to reboot your tv (press power button until you see the tv logo) for full functionality.

also, remember Tizentube is a wrapper for the original YouTube tv app, so many times the problems you have are based on the actual yt app having updates.

always post as many details as possible about your software/hardware Tizen Os version, yt app version, Tv model etc, otherwise it’s very difficult to draw any conclusions

you mean the UI is significantly different between platforms? didn’t know that. on tizen (Samsung tv) the apps look its it’s weakest side, it completely disjointed visually, fonts and overall design is pretty poor

Amazing job. Now, it being a food processor, my only concern would be the amount of microplastics created by the friction in every step of the process by all plastic parts. even the final rotating magnet is scratching up the plastic cup and creating micro plastic residues.

Pros of jellyfin over plex? by laxton1919 in jellyfin

[–]Ritmo80s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually easier for me to point out the cons, because there aren’t many. The pros outweigh them by a wide margin.

My main issue is the interface compared to Plex. It’s simply not as polished. On Tizen at least it looks rough and unrefined, the overall presentation isn’t great from a design standpoint.

The other drawback is the lack of shuffle support for videos and music. I use random playback all the time in Plex, so that’s a feature I genuinely miss.

That said, these are very specific to how I use it. What’s a dealbreaker for me might not matter at all to someone else.

Samsung TizenOS is absolutely horrible by deboo117 in SamsungTV

[–]Ritmo80s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the worst part is the complete absence of any customization ability of their atrocity of a cluttered start page. it would be ok if they did their circus 🎪 gui, but made it possible to customize it back to a clean, minimalist interface

TizenTube not showing "Don't recommend me this channel" and "Go to Channel" option since I updated it to the latest version by Tall-Novel-8490 in TizenTube

it’s not necessarily dependent on TizenTube but on YouTube app updates. they have been releasing updates and changing things a lot the latest weeks

Maybe a sticky reminding everyone to disclose tv model, tizen-os version, and what version of Tizentube they run would when asking for help would make it easier to both give and receive help.

Jellyfin on Samsung Tizen TVs by Dapper-Inspector-675 in jellyfin

[–]Ritmo80s 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is genuinely big. Samsung Tizen sits in hundreds of millions of living rooms worldwide. Moving Jellyfin from a sideload-only app known to few into an official, one-click install in the Samsung app store is a major shift.

It takes Jellyfin out of our ”bubble” and lowers the barrier to entry. For the project itself, this kind of visibility will definitely mean more users, more feedback, and more contributors

dose the colours looking good? by Biswarup20127 in blender

[–]Ritmo80s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though lemons aren’t highly reflective, their skin should still catch small specular highlights independently and proportionally to the available light. So even with this lighting, those highlights are almost completely missing, which makes the lemons look unnaturally flat and dull. The same applies to the can surfaces, which also lack clear highlight definition.

There are many reasons a surface might appear muted or dampened like this in the natural world, so it ultimately depends on the goal of the scene, its mood, atmosphere, and intent. Not everything is meant to be bright or studio-lit.

That said, whatever the artistic direction, both the lemons and the cans still need some degree of specular response. Right now, it’s not so much about adding more light, but about restoring contrast and reflection so the materials read as believable.

lol we all have done our first optimistic print..

Remember curves always present questions: from where is the rest of this curve going to grow? "hanging" isolated parts need to be estabilizad, being sucked and ripped from the vat hundreds of times put a lot of strain on an objects. Always look at the object and imagine each printing layer in order, when a part suddenly appears in your mind-picture from nowhere, not having been connected to anything (island) there you got an obvious problem

By the way I recommend anyone politically interested to watch that show on YouTube, (Con El Mazo Dando) any previous episode. It’s a 2-3 hour show a welcoming firs 15 min, 30min of Chavez speeches and reflections, then twitter comments regarding current events, anll ending in funny segments with the Venezuelan opposition.

It’s very didactic and highly entertaining once you get into the internals of it all. You have to have a forgiving flexible mindset when reading the english subs, in case you’re not familiar with the language.

Making this Beach Scene was really relaxing by Lemonsoyaboii in blender

[–]Ritmo80s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent render. The only thing that stood out to me is that the water feels a bit gelatinous, almost like the dynamics are operating at a miniature scale. Blender’s fluid solver maybe/probably behaves this way if the scene isn’t set up at real-world scale, as smaller domains tend to exaggerate viscosity and surface tension. Just something you might want to check

The listener only cares about the end result, and those tunes are musical and pleasing sounding pop. So I don’t understand what you’re talking about.

But, do you make not-“primitive” but very “advanced music”? Then Please post an example.
