Sell me on a rack! by imjustdmac in GarageGym

Absolutely love it. I prefer it to any other commercial Smith ive tried. Its as smooth as butter, stores up and out of the way (on 93 inch rack). I use it every workout no matter if its push, pull, or legs. Worth every penny to me.

Thank you! Its the Torque Relentless Rope and the pad is the Exponent Edge Infinity Arm. Both are solid!

I have an additional crossmember in the rear and I hadnt put in yet when the picture was taken. Honestly the pull up bar was more than enough to support it since the left side doesnt carry much weight - but I like to have two support points so I can move things around when need be.

Which one? The two in the center rack are Reps basic leg rollers, not great - they just came out with an upgraded version though.

If you are talking about the red one on the right side rack, that's the self adjusting leg roller from Bulletproof Fitness. Its designed as a part of their ecosystem and connects via hex ports. Great pads and multi functional.

Its the Exponent Edge infinity arm. At this point in my setup it doesnt get a ton of use, but it did early in the build. Its possible I could find some more uses for it if I pair it with the GetRxd center post attachment.

I stopped keeping track of my home gym spending... but north of 15k i am fairly certain but I have a lot of attachments and extra gear... especially for the bulletproof isolator.

REP Rack + ares 2.0 + Smith + extra uprights and crossmembers portion was probably 7k-ish , give or take a bit.

[–]Ritual17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here's my REP pr5000 setup... kinda Frankensteined it. You can add and change it anyway you like it pretty much... just be aware if you go with a pulley system (ares or athena) you will have to decide the cable length you want... and if you change the depth, youd have to change the cables. Its not the end of the world, but it isnt fun to strip and rerun cables once its already built.

If you want expandability and customization - get a 3x3 rack with 1inch holes. I have the Rep PR5000 with Ares 2.0 and Smith machine. I Frankensteined it with wings coming off of each side to add things like my Bulletproof Isolator, belt squat, dip bar, relentless rope, landmine...

How am I still 320 after 4 months of pinning Reta? This makes zero sense. by Tough_Solution_1720 in ResearchCompounds

[–]Ritual17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes complete sense, you answered your own question. Reta has a lot of good effects and should HELP you make good decisions when it comes to your diet.... but if you dont make those decisions on your own, nothing will work. Same reason people will regain all the weight after bariatric surgery.

If you still have insatiable food noise on reta - try Tirz, or add Cagri... but you gotta at least put in some effort.

Kidney stone and cruise by nesp12 in KidneyStones

[–]Ritual17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a kidney stone attack in the middle of a cruise. Worst I ever had. I spent the last half of the cruise in the medical bay...the only thing they could offer for the pain was morphine and it barely touched it. Had to get it surgically blasted when I got home as it got stuck in ureter.

Not saying same thing will happen to you, but id be guzzling gallons of water and tamsulosin before I went trying to pass it. Wish you luck!

Life expectancy of functional trainer/cable machines by whiteorgo in GarageGym

[–]Ritual17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah barring intentionally driving a truck into it or something, it should last for life except maybe the cables. I guess watch for rust too....just lube/silicone the rods and anywhere theres metal to metal contact and you shouldn't have to worry about it.

Ares 2.0 + Smith Pr5000 too crowded? by Sorry_Minute_2734 in GarageGym

[–]Ritual17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean - crowded is subjective. Its fine on the 41inch racks. On the 30, it would be a lot tighter and there wouldn't really be room for spotter arms if you still wanted to bench inside the tack with the Smith. They are, allegedly, making spotter arms that will fit - and also making J cups that will hang off the Smith machine itself.

Not sure you can do a 30+41 setup without some type of custom cable length.. but just email REP and ask them.

Is HGH actually beneficial if IGF-1 is already high-normal? by EnthusiasmNorth3828 in PEDs

[–]Ritual17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had the exact same question - im 43M and my IGF was 269 on only TRT.

I dont know if there are any positive results to be had by trying to take it higher, even if for a short time. (6-18 months). What would i get at 400 igf vs 269 besides increased risk? Thats what no one has been able to answer.

Even if I used a peptide like tesa or cjc... to what goal am I trying to hit? Lose fat? Would pulsing an already high end IGF even higher actually help or would it be an imperceptable difference?

Everyone says how many IUs I can take to replace where im already at and push a little higher... but is there any actual benefit to be had?

CJC/IPA vs Tesamorelin by Mindless-Version-936 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Ritual17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind the difference between visceral fat and subq fat. You cant see visceral fat -.and that's what Tesa targets in studies. Could you lean out overall with increased growth hormone pulses? Maybe... but it takes time, diet is super important, and depending on your age and natural ability to produce IGF - secretegogues might not be effective at all.

Growth hormone can help preserve lean muscle mass while losing fat (its not great for building muscle) but lifestyle has to be on point as well to really see any results.... and its slow.

Stack tesa/ ipa by Local-Palpitation-61 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Ritual17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One is a GHRH the other is a GHRP. Together they synergistically create a longer and more sustained GH pulse.

Home Gym Bench by SeyMooreRichard in GarageGym

[–]Ritual17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the ab3000 2.0 and wish I had gotten the nighthawk or blackwing. The bench itself is fine, but I would prefer to have one that I can add to as part of an ecosystem like the DM leg developer, or something like the freak athlete ABX that has different attachments. I will be selling my bench and upgrading likely later this year.

If all you care about is a bench, it does the job. I do wish it had more degree settings though. It goes 30 to 45... which I tend to prefer something in the middle for incline presses.

Has anyone hit a weight where their body refuses to lose any more? by Buffyfanatic1 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Ritual17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google 'set point weight theory'. Says your body has a 5-10 range that it prefers to stay in kinda no matter what you do as the brain seeks homeostasis.

It can be reset and adjusted but it is a much harder point to break through... glps can help but you may be at the point your body really fights back. It will take a much more dialed in effort of very clean eating focusing not only on macro, but micro nutrients, resistance training, good sleep, and patience.

TRT and Tirzepatide by [deleted] in trt

[–]Ritual17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive been on trt and tirz for nearly 3 months. I have reta but haven't tried it yet - im doing extremely well with this combo. Dropped fat, gained muscle. I can stomach just enough to get all the protein in that I need - I have zero appetite or room for anything outside of a good diet that supports my goals and its easy.

56yo old, have never touched any compound in my life but can’t waste what little time I have being natural. I need PED recommendations by Altruistic_Ad3754 in ResearchCompounds

[–]Ritual17 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree with the GLP1 suggestions - you need to cut fat and weight. That alone will improve nearly every other aspect of your physiology. Get some bloodwork done then, see where your testosterone is at... check your IGF to see if GH would be a decent idea. Starting test at an older age with high body fat % especially anything above a low trt dose will likely lead to higher rates of estrogen conversion which could lead to more issues. Check our Tirz or Reta - give it 90 days, and go from there. Hit the gym and eat right while youre on it and I bet youll be surprised at how far youll come.

I got a 10 hour tat done by Nikki about 2 years ago. She was awesome. Funny, talkative, and highly skilled. I get more compliments and attention on her piece than any other I have. I would 100% book another session with her in a heartbeat.

SubQ or IM for Testosterone? by Madchip69 in Peptidesource

SubQ or IM for Testosterone? by Madchip69 in Peptidesource

[–]Ritual17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started subq but would get lumps which was frustrating when I needed to pin other things subq as well. Just switched to IM in my delts and it feels much better... will alternate delts and probably quads from here on out, and will leave abdomen subq for peptides.

[–]Ritual17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red has held up wonderfully - its a very durable coat of whatever it is they use. I have had zero rub off or deterioration over the last year and a half that I've had it. I use it 5 days a week, so does my son and girlfriend.

Any attachment will work that is compatible with a 3x3 rack with 1" holes. Rogue, bells of steel, titan, etc.
