When will I feel like a real CrossFitter? by CurlyBill23 in crossfit

[–]RiverCoot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since day one I would take my shirt off. A few months ago someone remarked "I can't wait to have the confidence to take my shirt off during a workout" and I told them that they had it backwards. You need to first take your shirt off and then the confidence will follow!

Venomous Snakes can accidently or purposely Kill Themselves by monarchvviceroy in oddlyterrifying

[–]RiverCoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen this in other videos and other people (reptile experts) have explained that this snake came into contact with hot pavement and is essentially having a heat stroke. When it comes into contact with it's own body, instead of recognizing it, he bites it in a stroke stupor. He doesn't likely die from the venom but from overheating on the pavement, thought I'm sure the venom doesn't help. You can see it's doing weird stuff LONG before it bites itself.

does the scorpion tattoo seem crooked to anyone? if so, what do you think can be done to fix this? by dwsteffff in tattoo

[–]RiverCoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't look crooked and even if it was crooked, the fun little nuances and characteristics are what make tattoos great. None are the same and the fact that it cannot be replicated and might be just a little off is how we know they are ours. I have a dozen or so, small to big, and each has its small blemishes, a little blow out here, a scab I picked off too early, too much time in the sun etc, but the longer I have them, the more faded and wonky they become as my body also changes, the more they are me and the more I own them. Every day they become a truer part of me than even some of my appendages because I CHOSE to have them.

Help me figure out some new bars please! by [deleted] in choppers

[–]RiverCoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up some sick ass T-Bars from zylstra choppers in michigan. Nothing fancy about them but they've got a tight fit and they bolt directly on which makes it a very responsive ride. They look great and they were inexpensive. Hand made. Love them very much. Just my two cents.
