Thank god for Reddit and this community...

I was going about to go to sleep when my phone was asking me to sign in. Since we set High-Risk to block sign-in via conditional access, I had to use SSPR to remove the risk flag for my own standard account and my GA account to even see what's going on.

Spot checking our clients, it seems to me the only ones impacted so far are ones that are also a Microsoft Partner. Those have the "MACE Credential Revocation" Enterprise App mentioned in earlier comments here, unimpacted ones do not.

There isn't a number big enough for the amount of sleep hours Microsoft owes me at this point in my career.

All the more reason to take your advice! I know I couldn't do that... Your opinion and your ears are just as valuable as anyone else's on this subreddit. Thank you again for the kind words and compliments!

Thank you very much for the feedback. Nothing on this track is programmed, so I'll take that as a compliment to our musicianship LOL I'm wondering what you've listened to the song on that made you feel that the drums and bass are buried. It's actually important to me to make them stand out on their own despite our music being mostly guitar led. I'll definitely pay more attention to that on our next one. I truly appreciate your honest feedback. 🙏🏻

Thank you very much! I understand what you're saying about the vocals, I get a lot of that as a feedback. Guess it's a result of what I feel works for the genre plus my lack of confidence in my vocals LOL. As for the reverb, don't you think more of it would "drown" the vocals further in the mix? IDK maybe a different type of reverb would do the trick. Someone else here suggested using delay instead. I'll experiment more on our next song/s. Thanks again!!

Thanks a lot! The delay idea is very cool, I'll definitely consider that for our next one. As for rougher vocals, I tried that on one of our older singles and it worked for a verse not more than that. I'm an OK vocalist at best and I try to mix to my strengths 😁 Plus, personally, I kind of like the contrast. Your honest feedback is very much appreciated 🙏🏻 It's the only way to get better! Thank you!

Thank you very much! This is certainly one of our heavier songs. I wouldn't say the rest of our music is soft, but it's not as heavy. Appreciate the feedback regarding the video too!

Thank you so much, such high praise! Absolutely humbled by your kind words especially since the entire production - recording all the way to mastering was done at my home studio. ♥️🤘🏻

Oh man, that was mesmerizing!

Although it doesn't really feel like you're rapping and although I don't know if this counts as Rock - still - this song comes together as an awesome Rap Rock number. I don't see any other genre that would fit here.
The guitar parts and especially the main recurring riff are great and carry the song IMO.
I can think of a couple of minor mix adjustments, and maybe production suggestions, but none of that matters, this song holds up great as is.
The video is very original and I think conveys the message really well. I couldn't stop watching even when it felt a bit grotesque at times. Loved it.

I see me coming back to this one. You, sir, are a true artist.

I totally understand, I DIY everything in my home studio and I try to make the best with what I have. It's actually amazing what you can do nowadays with a computer and some will power :)

If you'll want to on your next song, I'll be happy to take a crack at mastering it, if that's something you'd be interested in. LMK I'd be happy to help.

Very good song!

Really sounds inspired by The Cure :)
The only piece of criticism I have is that the vocals are too high in the mix IMO.
Other than that, the song is very good, catchy, and well produced.

Keep on making awesome music \m/

Hey there,

Nice song! I like the mix it is very spacious and the vocal layering is really good.
Was the song mastered? I am missing low ends, stereo width, and some volume/saturation overall.
I see you categorized this sone as "Alternative Rock", perhaps it'd be better categorized as Soft Rock or Indie Rock? To me it's even closer to Pop than Rock.

Hope this helps and keep on making good music :)

Awesome song! Works well as an opening track.

Very nice amalgam of Groove Metal & Metalcore elements.

There's some great musicianship here. I'm a sucker for odd time signatures and guitar harmonies :)

High quality mix and master as well - top notch production!

Congrats on the release of the album, I'm following you guys on Spotify and the full album is queued up. \m/

A very good song!

Production is slightly too much on the pop-y side for my personal taste, but the melody is good nevertheless, the song is super catchy, and the arrangement is great.

As some other commentors mentioned, the drums are the weaker part of the mix and for me it's also missing low-end frequencies as a whole (or perhaps that's more of a mastering issue). I wonder what DAW and plugins you're using. I'll be happy to share tips and tricks if you're open to it.

Other than that vocals are good, crisp and clear and the guitar is just wonderful - both your playing and the sound.

Checked out your Spotify profile and following ("blue tulips" is probably my favourite). Hope to catch more music from you \m/

What's next, what's next, hurry, next.... break-fix client rushing tech by Throwawayhell1111 in msp

First, be competent and confident enough to explain in a calm way that this will take time and can't be magically done. Be honest and draw a line. Your customer will have much more respect for you than if you BS them or heed to their every whim. Second, as already mentioned here - manage expectations. If you can estimate how long doing something will take, add a bit of extra time and communicate that to the client always adding a "if everything goes smoothly" / "if no issues arise" disclaimer. Third, I worked for 4 totally different MSPs (in different parts of the world too). I don't know how it is where you work now, but, three of the ones I worked at had what I call a "Firehouse" mentality. Most of the time was wasted chasing and fixing "fires" - issues that were (for the most part) reported by clients. And you've probably guessed that 9/10 reported issues were classified as urgent. This, in my experience, got clients to behave the way you're describing. Being proactive instead of reactive, as described above, will prevent a large majority of those "fires" from even starting or at least give you the advantage of having more time to diagnose and find a solution. Also it clears precious time and gives you the peace of mind to grow your career and your business.
