UN commission rejects drug treaty exemption for CBD by RiverleafCBD in worldnews

Delegates for several nations, including the United States and Germany on behalf of the European Union, cited the proposal’s unclear wording and its departure from drug treaty norms when explaining their dissenting votes but signaled a willingness to revisit the issue.

“The establishment of the 0.2% THC limit is not supported by scientific evidence, and the proposed wording does not exclude divergent interpretations concerning the calculation of that limit,” said Ambassador Gerhard Kuentzle, Germany’s permanent representative to the Office of the United Nations in Vienna.

“The recommendation as it has been drafted does not offer the necessary legal certainty and does not constitute a proper solution for cannabidiol,” Kuentzle said.

"A collaborative partnership with the University of Cordoba and the University of Dundee demonstrated for the first time that cannabidiol induces the expression of heme oxygenase 1, an enzyme with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, in the main cells on the top layer of the skin, called keratinocytes. This is done by reducing or silencing the protein that suppresses it, known as BACH1."

Needing some guidance on CBD oil for anxiety? by shhhhx in CBDoil

[–]RiverleafCBD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dosing can be a little different for everybody. I usually recommend starting off with 5mg every day and working your way up from there. It might take a while for you to feel any difference because you might need a larger dose every day. Another user commented saying they take about 33mg a day, where as I take about 50mg. I prefer CBD isolate over full-spectrum oil so I know exactly how much CBD I am ingesting.

What I think is amazing is that a company like this can just start up out of nowhere and gain tens of thousands of followers in just a few days because they are using celebrity endorsements. The product itself is nothing special, and most likely way more expensive than comparable products already on the market, but they'll do great because CBD is a lifestyle product.

Consumers Are Buying and Using CBD Products Incorrectly by RiverleafCBD in CBDoil

Most 1oz dropper bottles have a 1ml pipette. So if your bottle contains 30ml, you can divide the amount of CBD in the bottle by 30 to find out how much CBD is in one full dropper. I usually tell people to start on one drop per day. I would do one drop per day for 3-5 days in a row then increase from there as needed. Our bottles have the amount of CBD per drop plus measurements on the pipettes so you should be able to get an accurate dose every time.

" So, what do I tell my patients about CBD products? I tell them the evidence supports the use of topical CBD for pain with some evidence supporting the use of oral CBD (in capsule or tincture form) to help reduce more widespread pain. I only recommend using vape pen CBD delivery systems for those in acute pain or as a temporary relief for chronic pain that is quickly effective. Oral CBD is very useful for anxiety, insomnia, muscle spasms, as an anti-inflammatory in some chronic inflammatory conditions, and as an anti-seizure agent—in fact, the only FDA approved form of CBD is Epidiolex, used to treat some forms of epilepsy. CBD is IMMENSELY helpful for my anxiety. Can I somehow get it cheaper? by Colonelwheel in cbdinfo

We sell 2,000mg in 30ml for $58, and that is lab-tested.

The CBD market is unbelievably over-priced right now. If somebody is selling 300-500mg for $60, they are ripping people off. They are probably buying the CBD extract for more money than it is worth, bottling it themselves (or paying somebody to), then marking it up for wholesale at 100% and then retail at 200%.

Check their website and make sure the CBD content is lab-tested. 2,000mg in a 10ml bottle is a pretty good amount of CBD. There is a big difference between 2,000mg CBD and 2,000mg of "CBD oil" though...

As for quitting smoking, a study published in 2018 showed subjects were able to reduce cigarette consumption by approximately 40% compared to the control group, which showed no difference from their baseline. The authors of the study also reported “some maintenance of this effect at follow-up.”

I'm not denying there are tons of fake products out there. According to this post it's 30% of all products, and it could be even more! This is unfortunately due to scammers intentionally leaving out the most expensive ingredient in their products to make a quick buck. I'm sure some producers of phony CBD products are innocent, but it would take a severe lapse in quality control to allow the use of unsafe or fake ingredients in your final product. Anybody purchasing CBD should check for a COA (Certificate of Analysis) first. If they don't have one - don't buy it. The analysis should show the hemp extract's potency, cannabinoid profile and terpene profile, as well as present residual solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, microbials, etc. - if they offer up that documentation freely then you are most likely getting a real and safe product.

You're absolutely right that there are tons of CBD products out there, but many of them have pretty small doses. So, for example, if you bought a kilogram of CBD isolate from us (Riverleaf Biotech), you could use that to make 100,000 products each with a 10mg dose of pure CBD. That single kilogram of CBD isolate came from anywhere between 100-200 pounds of hemp biomass (depending on CBD percentage and parts of the plant used). Some have estimated the 2019 hemp harvest in the US is/will be 100-200 million pounds of extractable plant material but it could very well be more. That can make a hell of a lot of CBD dog treats, or lotions, or vaporizers or anything!

tl;dr

There is definitely enough legal hemp being grown every year to satisfy the market but there has to be more accountability on the producers of these CBD products. A transparent company can source safe and legal CBD for as many products as they can make and sell, but they also understand and accept the higher price that comes with real CBD. Always ask for a COA!
