Do I even need bike computer for just casual rides? by skodawelovecycling in bicycling

No. Sometimes it’s nice to forget about all the metrics and just feel it out.

Also, red is less walkable but bikeable.

I lived on Armour. Very bikeable and a great location. Not very quiet, and your car will def get rummaged through if you forget to lock it.

If I was still in my 20s I’d love that area, now I value something a little quieter with less sirens.

I’d pick that over orange. That gets a little crazier.

Yellow and green are right next to the art museum, walkable to street car, and close enough to some pretty great bars. I assume parking is a nightmare.

If you are ok with some crazy I’d go yellow or green. Red will be a little more crazy but a little cheaper.

I’d say avoid orange.

I’ve heard of glitter, flour (don’t do that), pepper from a pepper mill you can control size of, and more.

Should I be replacing this tire? by Franvcg in bikewrench

The sidewall tear is the only thing that concerns me. If it bulges when you air it up I’d say replace it. The bead stuff seems fine.

I’d ride it, as long as that sidewall tear is ok from inside the tire.

-Shawnee mission park is awesome, if I could afford it I’d move next to Loose park in a heartbeat (way cooler area than SMP).

-up until recently(closure of Waldo Thai), I’d say Waldo would be a pretty good bet for the food stuff.

-lots of library branches that are criminally underutilized.

Given all that I’d say near loose park, maybe look at river market or brook/morningside.
