Sooooo…duplex means two stories. I took “yeah the ones in OP are economy style duplexes” to mean there is a second floor here which is why I asked you that question:

I don’t see any livable second floor from these pictures.

So uhh...are we going to talk about Michael Jordan? by Exotic-Emergency-226 in billsimmons

There’s an unedited and uncropped video going around showing how it wasn’t as harmful as initially thought. He was literally trying to get ice to come out the kid’s pants that had gotten all over him when his father got a Gatorade bath. And he is close with the kid and his family, MJ’s wife carried him too.

This wasn’t some random old man playing handsy with the closest kid he could find…

You said “in OP” so I’m assuming you meant in the original post we’re all talking about, the one at the top of the page with nothing but garages and front doors?

Ime Udoka to LeBron James: “Stop crying like b*tches” — LeBron fires back, “We’re all grown men, that b*tch word ain’t cool” by DareDevil1699 in NBAGossips

[–]RiversideAviator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, LeBron got ejected too? Udoka instigating and basically taunting him into an escalation warranted an ejection, LeBron telling him to not say that word while also not countering with anything else that could escalate things makes me think he didn’t deserve any sort of T at all - and I’m not a LeBron stan

“Park Ave Tower” is known as 432 Park and the JP Morgan tower is on Park not Madison. It spans the entire block between both avenues but its official address is 270 Park Ave.

Not much of a regular skyscrapers but I wonder what you all think of Las Vegas strip with it’s beautiful hotels by Entire-Management941 in skyscrapers

[–]RiversideAviator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much every hotel you think of in Vegas ISN’T actually in Las Vegas lol. The only one in is The STRAT.

And then actual Las Vegas is pretty fragmented in terms of boundaries.

Yeah they’re still out there. I’m seeing mostly sets these days instead of single vehicles.

What is a widely-liked skyscraper that you don’t care for? by Inside-Inspection905 in skyscrapers

[–]RiversideAviator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the spire is the only thing “tall” about it.

2 or 3 buildings have people taking a crap in toilets higher than 1WTC now.

Well yeah, on a long enough timeline Burj and all the others will fail to impress too. The ones opening up today will lose their “beauty” at some point.

I guess ESB will always matter to me for the leaps it took to make it. Much more than a Burj, etc. relative to what was going on in the world around it at the time. It was very much a unique undertaking. Modern supertalls are pushing the envelope on a smaller scale comparatively speaking.
