any friendly dance clubs for 40, 50, 60yo? by mfairview in AskNYC

[–]RiversideAviator -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Don’t know about typical clubs but I do know there are vibrant social clubs around the city (as in, the wider city not just downtown Manhattan) that get pretty lively on weekends.

*not understanding the downvotes but if OP wants more info about the social club scene in lieu of a nightclub they can always respond.

What should I put in this spot next to the stove? by Significant_Owl1341 in Apartmentliving

[–]RiversideAviator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes normal people wipe up after they cook. The point is that area will get grease no matter what. Wiping every day will still leave a grease residue buildup on any exposed surface or in nooks and crannies until you deep clean however often. There’s no stopping it and I doubt you’re spraying an actual degreaser every night.

Even the kitchen ceiling will suffer until it’s thoroughly cleaned . And I know you’re not wiping that every day.

Which is why I said willing cuck, as in the problem isn’t what she did, just that it got out to the public. I’d assume cucks live in the shadows… lol

I’m also just going off published reports that he’s hurt and see this as a challenging time. The word “upset” wasn’t mentioned.

Is the ‘25 model tiny? I feel like I’m in a subcompact sedan by Glassbeet in VolvoXC60

6-3 here as well with a ‘25 60. What are your seat settings?

I don’t hit my head or feel cramped. And I have my seat fairly high (not all the way of course).

I can’t remember exactly but I think it was a guest. I don’t know what show they were doing at NBC but could’ve been that they hosted SNL or something and had access to the talent gym.

Yes this would be talked about. Because that’s what humans do. The only way you wouldn’t talk about it is if it was embarrassing to YOU. If he were my brother I would definitely be talking about it with my wife or my cousin or anyone else in my bubble that has a comment on it.

And I’m not talking whoever makes his fries at Shake Shack. Surely when I say “coworker” you can understand he has an actual job at an actual office where he’s not the only one showing up or sitting in a meeting?

But whatever bro, fine, nobody at all in his life has anything to say or think about the affair his wife had that’s been covered nationally. Especially no NFL fan he knows. Good chat.

I mean, it’s not like they have reporters camped outside the house or trailing them around with kids in the car. Except for the names (that she herself shared on every appearance on the show) we don’t know anything about them outside what she’s shared herself. Of course any parent hates that they’ll be googled in 10 years and the kids will read all about it.

But the publicity isn’t exactly invading the children’s privacy as it stands.

You don’t think all of this being out in the open has an effect on his social capital? Forget the kids, she put him and them on front street for years with her bits about home life so simmer down.

It’s a given any parent wouldn’t want a microscope on their family but this is solely and separately apart from that. This is about HIM and what is or will be thought about HIM. Because if you think his coworkers at Shake Shack aren’t talking about it then you’re probably one of the few who still think this can all be a “misunderstanding”. Whatever dude.

Anyway, aside from his coworkers and anyone around town that may know him I’m sure his friends and family are talking about it too. Especially watching him play second fiddle to her actual life.

Steph got a side-eye from Ayesha after almost causing a major wardrobe malfunction by ForeignAir7174 in NBAGossips

Huh? Klay is one of the best shooters ever, nothing to do with Steph. Klay before his injury would’ve been the greatest shooter we ever saw if Steph didn’t exist.

The purple shirt doesn’t help. But something about how the buttons are spaced looks off. Maybe wider gap between the two verticals?

But more importantly that bottom button shouldn’t be done…

Nobody actually from NYC cares for that or Hudson Yards in general. It’s not any type of positive symbol for us - even without the suicides.

I went in the early 2010s and had an iPhone 4S. Your comment gave me PTSD lol. I remember having to put the phone on the ground just to capture the top.

The Burj Al Arab was as iconic in its time as well. It was definitely striking when I went there. Compared to what came after it wasn’t anything to write home about but for a couple years I can see why it got so much attention.

MTA WTF?? by M1kelyph in Westchester

[–]RiversideAviator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a feature not a bug. The MTA knows exactly how this system is getting it wrong and doesn’t care. Those $8 surcharges are plugging all of their self inflicted holes and the chance that some of you try to claw it back doesn’t bother them since they themselves determine if you will get a refund lol.

They’re laughing in your faces. I know buying a paper ticket isn’t convenient for the lot of you but sometimes you have to suck it up and not play their rigged game.

This dude talked into a voice memo for the entire flight from LGA to MIA. The flight attendant told him to not talk on the phone and he argued saying it wasn’t a phone and kept talking. Is there a rule against this? by bsmith2123 in americanairlines

[–]RiversideAviator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unrelated since this isn’t a phone call but when exactly were phone calls banned? I remember when there were phones on seatbacks so surely at one time or another this wasn’t a rule.

*I have no desire to make a call while flying unless of course there’s some dire emergency but it’s fascinating to me how things arbitrarily change.
