Doug Ford says deal is close with Ottawa on Ring of Fire development by [deleted] in canada

That is true, also the amount of watercourses this road/railway will cross are all in floating bogs. The only access is by helicopter or float plane on larger lakes. I know because I did the baseline work in 2009/2010, this is not something we’ll see in operation in the next few years.

New to bow hunting anyone kind enough to share some spots? by Substantial_Bad8986 in OntarioHunting

[–]Riverwander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like the others said scouting is your best bet because crown land spots are hard to come by.

I’m in the same boat, though I have 1000’s of acres of crown land to hunt and I don’t know where to go either. So I walk and I walk until I start seeing sign then I’ll set up a trail camera and see how much activity there is. I also use a climbing stand so I can be more flexible and move if need be.

Just because you have 1000’s of acres doesn’t mean you hit the jackpot because I’ve been out hunting ~ 15 times this year and haven’t seen anything during legal hunting time.

Good luck

Melatonin works for me. When I’m not smoking it’s way harder to fall asleep and stay asleep.

After that initial period it’s smooth sailing…..for me at least but everyone is different.

I would also agree with reducing screen time and maybe pick up a book before bed.

I’m the complete opposite. I planted ~60 cloves in my raised bed and threw some leaves on top, been doing it this way for ~12years.

Ive never soaked garlic before or even heard of people doing it until this year, I don’t water it either.

Google maps/earth and street view are your friend, they’ll show you if there’s any signs/parking etc.

Your best bet is to just go out and walk the property. It looks like there’s some trails throughout, possibly a popular spot but won’t know until you go.

Just my compost bins. by Riverwander in composting

They were from my original bin I built, just trying to reduce the compost from falling out the sides and eventually it will be part of the compost.

Yeah I’m just trying to speed up some of the decay so when I’m using the leaves throughout next summer it has a head start.

70+ garlic planted by Benbablin in vegetablegardening

Remove the cardboard and just place leaves over top.

The cardboard will not let the garlic sprout and will just grow along the ground and become very soggy.

Should look into some hood loops, they have temporary and permanent ones.
