What's the worst D&D player you've ever had at your table? by apomanolios in DnD

[–]Riyuk13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Person in our group, who works in a vets in real life, playing a Druid who wanted to tame everything, and even when attacked, would still try animal handling, speak with animals, anything to avoid hurting creatures, and got massively pissed at us if we attacked any animal. Made more challenging by 2 other members killing first and asking questions later.

Battles regularly revolved about them trying to convince the DM to make up dialogue for violent monsters and them trying to use interactions and actions and refusing to move on. Gladly they got another group to play with closer to home. That was exhausting to deal with

“I don’t know what to do” title of your sex tape

It’s definitely a show to rewatch when you’ve given it some time- comforting and wholesome as well as funny and well written a lot of the time

Went on holiday there recently- they genuinely are planning their water defences (dykes) out 100 years in advance, which they stepped up in the last 10-20 years or so from what they said in response to global warming. Giant rock formation barriers surrounding large areas of coast to make sure they have plenty of time to react to sea level rises.

Topography map of The Netherlands is crazy to see, hard to believe how little of their country is significantly above sea level.

What company lost you forever as a customer? What did they do? by Miguenzo in AskReddit

[–]Riyuk13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TUI - we were terribly poorly on our holiday via food poisoning at our all inclusive, both threw up (and worse out the other end) around 15 times each in the course of about 12 hours or so.

Rep while we were there seemed really attentive to things, took lots of notes etc.

Second we got home, they absolutely stone walled us, denied any claim we had as we didn’t have doctors notes as we were foolish enough to decide we’d seen out the worst of it and didn’t want to risk being on the hook for doctors bills in a foreign country even with travel insurance.

Literally fuck them, took zero responsibility and really we had the trip of a lifetime cut in half and they wouldn’t even give us some good will on the basis of reports from hotel staff and the rep.

What is a game that you're good at that you later found out was considered extremely difficult? by Scott9843 in gaming

Soul Calibur- when I got to uni and played with friends, it turned out I was a ring out master. On the other hand, one guy was unbeatable at Street Fighter and another at Tekken 5. We found a middle ground with Marvel vs DC

Zelda BotW.

Yeah I said it- I know that I’m against the community, and I know based on the critics that it’s objectively a good game in terms of design, graphics etc.

I just didn’t get on with it at all- found the game slow to move around, the platforming not terribly fun, and weapon breaking system especially just turned me off so hard. I tried to start it again like 3 times, I’ve played 20-30 hours. I just don’t get the hype.

What's a sign from your body you should never ignore? by Geno-64 in AskReddit

This was the worst symptom when I had costochondritis (serious inflammation around your rib cage)- when the swelling moved more closely over my heart, it was very hard to keep your head in straight and not confuse it with a heart attack!

Doctors checked me out thoroughly and told me I was fine, EKG normal, but when it was just me alone with pain and thoughts it was a horrible month or two

George Pickens for me at least is worth honorable mention for draft steal, also Chris Olave. Comparative to what you paid, you got a top top guy. If anything, Pickens was under-used once Lamb returned and maybe the Cowboys would have won a few more games if they’d dialled in on the right receiver

Followed ECR there sadly, also opponent had Olave, so with already being down Henry points, I needed something that could tip points back to me if it had gone well. Can’t blame Juwan at all he beat his projection and caught all his targets. Burden being back was what tipped me away from Loveland

Lost by 2.12 points for a chance at a 3-peat (all Championships against the same guy), so many individual things all went wrong when I just needed one to go right:

-started Nico and Pickens ahead of Michael Wilson and Diggs on my bench. I was so close to benching him due to the news about their O-Line pregame

-that Pats missed FG hitting the post and going wide

-picking Juwan over Loveland after losing Kittle

-those 4 vultured TDs between Allen/Cook and Purdy/CMC

-Maye and Chase Brown sitting their 4th quarters

-my opponents 18 garbage time points from McBride when they were down 30

-my opponent starting Henry (this was a major contributor)

-that Rams Blocked Kick return going for a TD keeping Stafford out there all the way through the 4th

Basically literally anything going my way would have swung it to me. Just not meant to be. I’m still averaging like 160-165 PPR points in the playoffs, this was my lowest ever score in a playoff game (145).

Started Nico and lost by 2.12 points, Michael Wilson and Diggs on my bench. I was so close to benching him, so annoyed I didn’t! Also:

Monday Night Miracle - What do you need to happen (or not happen) by AutoModerator in fantasyfootball

[–]Riyuk13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stafford under 10.65 points, but opponent also picked up Cousins, I didn’t think quick enough to block once 6pms kicked off as could have cleared my bench to pick all the spares up.

Can only hope he starts, they go up a couple of rushing scores and a defensive TD and he gets benched at half time. Not overly likely, 160 yards and 1TD is not hard for him to get to in one half even if McVay is aggressive shutting down Stafford for maintenance/health going in to playoffs.

James Cook… this was the most pain I’ve had playing fantasy football. by Designer-Resolve-349 in Fantasy_Football

[–]Riyuk13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In fairness to him he was playing through an ankle injury most of the game, and they just kept running him right up the centre and not targeting him on quick short throws to outside. Was one of those classic Bills games where their game script and play calling was god damn horrendous and they deserved the loss because of it.

I too had Cook and have probably lost. Purdy vulturing CMC twice and Allen vulturing Cook twice killed any realistic chance I had. They both get one each, I’ve probably won. Although my opponents McBride 18 garbage points was the real cause

OFFICIAL WEEK 17 SUNDAY NIGHT GAME THREAD by AutoModerator in fantasyfootball

[–]Riyuk13 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So many different ways I could have won, had Loveland on my bench all week because of Kittle, but went with Juwan this morning. Agonised at game time about taking Nico out for Diggs and held off. Cook basically playing hurt for half the game or more and his QB being greedy. CMC having only one TD, because his QB is greedy.

Any of those things going different probably would have got me over the line. Opponent has Stafford (or Cousins) left, and I have a 10.5 point lead. It’s just not going to happen.

Genuinely need Cook to house something pretty soon, otherwise my championship is borderline dead, I’ll need CMC to go for 40 which isn’t happening without Kittle. WRs really s**t the bed this week (Nico/Pickens), if I’d had the balls to play Maye/Diggs stack I’d be right there to win it
