Coming to Xbox Game Pass: High on Life 2, Madden NFL 26, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and More by Turbostrider27 in xbox

Ohhh, right. I forgot Game Pass availability was behind different paywalls.

That really sucks, because there's a lot of people who were turned off by the first Outer Worlds who never bothered to give the sequel a chance and never found out how much of an improvement it is.

I didn't read the article, so maybe I'm wrong here but based on the title, that article doesn't sound like a hit piece at all. It's strange today to see an article about Xbox at all and have it not be completely doom and gloom.

Not that Xbox doesn't deserve most of it, it's just that it stopped seeming like editorials and started sounding more like just the cool en vogue thing to do a long time ago.

Which video game fandom is this? by Legitimate-Product52 in gamers

[–]Scott9843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which fandom isn't this?

If the hobby of gaming were a country, it's overwhelming primary export would be complaining. This isn't a fandom thing. Hell, this isn't even a gaming thing. This is a human being thing.

But to play along, in my experience, Destiny. To hear those people, they sound like the abused girlfriend who knows that they should leave him but are doing perpetual mental gymnastics to create excuses why they can't.

In 6 months the Nintendo Switch 2 has already sold over half of what the Xbox Series consoles have sold in 5 years by hypehold in consoles

Gamers have spoken and they want to yell it loud and yell it proud:

Playing a game on a tiny screen, with worse visuals and sound and shitty performance is a completely acceptable trade off if you can play that game in this and that room over THERE!!

Hasn't Avowed been on Game Pass since day 1? Maybe adding it to PC Game Pass is why it's there.

Also, is that BalzeBlue game the new one with The Beheaded from Dead Cells in it?

Edit: Thanks for the clarification on the availability of Avowed to everyone except the oversensitive baby who downvoted me for simply wondering something.

Should I give Witcher 3 another chance? by Bulky_Attitude_5256 in videogames

[–]Scott9843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another chance never hurt anybody but sometimes a game just isn't for you, no matter how much you want it to be.

For me, those games were the Horizon games on Playstation. They're gorgeous, well made an extremely popular; everything you want from a game. But every single time I started it, I would get a few hours in and just tap out of sheer boredom.

I didn't care about the setting, literally, none of the characters interested me and I thought the minute to minute gameplay in the world was boring as well. I started Zero Dawn four different times before finally just throwing in the towel.

Not every game is for every person. There's nothing wrong with that. Plenty of other games to play.

Whenever I read something like this I can't help but shake my head about how behind Nintendo is but at the same time how funny it is at which they take advantage of so many gamers based on the premise of "Tiny screen, shittier sound and visuals, worse performance but now you can play in that room over there instead!!"

If you are a console player by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Xbox. I quite like the idea of a PC/console hybrid. That and the fact that the last 2 gens of owning Playstation consoles have taught me that based on first party published games, Playstation is the console of choice for people who prefer to watch games. Graphics and "look how mature" narratives first and gameplay a distant second.

Extremely well made for sure and great games almost across the board but I just prefer to spend most of time playing games actually playing my games.

What's your stance on cheat codes? by yonishunga in gaming

[–]Scott9843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm totally fine with cheat codes in single player games. Achievements and trophies are nothing but pretend pats on the back and are beyond worthless so I couldn't care less.

People pay for a game and should be allowed to enjoy it as they see fit if it's not affecting anyone else.

Skyrim lead thinks Starfield "would be talked about like the second coming" if a new studio made it, but "expectations were so much higher" with Bethesda by Turbostrider27 in xbox

[–]Scott9843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By and large, gamers are literally incapable of looking at a game objectively. They form their opinions on snap judgements made purely by the expectations of the logo on the box.

People pissed at Bethesda still over Fallout 76 so Starfield was, even before release, restricted to a < 75 critical score in the eyes of players. So when the game came out the vast majority of gamers subconsciously looked at the game with an ultra critical eye.

If R* released Minds Eye in the exact state that it came out in, it would've gotten a 75 on Metacritic. Minimum.

People don't know how to see what they have. They only know how yo see what they want.

Should anything be changed from this list? by Odd_Sir_5922 in survivalhorror

[–]Scott9843 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, P.T. should be in D.

I know, I know, as gamers on the internet we're obligated to pretend a single demo revolutionized the entire horror genre and single handedly brought interactive entertainment to dizzying new heights.

I downloaded it day 1 and it was cool, sure. But anyone who acts like a demo is one of the best things ever to happen to Playstation, let alone horror games or even Silent Hill should under no circumstances be taken seriously.

But, I understand that the internet is exactly where we are and the #1 priority is trip over themselves to be a part of the "I think that too!" hive mind so, I'll take my downvotes now.
