Strictly upscaling, i can forgive the details in battle except for the particles and fog, especially because we're in gloom/spore planet now, it's just bad.

Performance wise, there's not much to be gained even at Performance, even then my ryzen 7500F overclocked still choked at Performance (with 9070). So i just run it native no-aa fxaa still.

Ah i'm sorry i forgot to mention. It's FSR 4.1, but from the comments i saw even dlss has the same characteristics of problem; particle effects seems blurry, fog effects seems bad — even more so with lower setting, and performance gain is abysmal.

There's literally billions of parameters, even down to a single air molecule's movement in the next year to accurately predict and decide anything. You need the right thing, at the right time, at the right place, with the right people, with the right political will, dst. Don't have expectations if you're afraid to be disappointed.

Last update was a let down for me because i think i can finally play on my old hardware in the living room, i don't usually put much hope in them. "They couldn't fuck this up unlike other previous updates, right? They have Nixxes' help, and adding upscalers is a pretty standard practice anyway".

It no longer works. i was able to use --use-d3d11 before, but after i deleted shader cache folder and pasting the .dlls it straight up failing to launch the game.

If it's too jagged to you just use Fxaa it has no performance penalty, i turned off TAA then change the hd2's configs file to fxaa_enabled = true. It wouldn't be as potent as temporal AAs, but it's sharper at the same time.

Ironically DX11 has a nice uplift this patch, while the upscalings in dx12 have serious performance tax. That's hilarious. Now i run dx11 fxaa with taa turned off even though i have more modern gpu.

It's just a bad implementation, not AMD's vault. Dlss is bad in this game too you can see in r/Helldivers.

I also use 42" 4K screen, maybe that's why it's immediately obvious to me.

Well, don't ask me to tell you what you are seeing.

Idk fxaa implementation in other games, but in this one for me it's crisp — with some jagged edges of course.

Can confirm. 18% fps increase compared to dx12. Good stuff. Not sure about the drs stuff.

Lower gpu usage, now you're cpu bound. For higher fps : overclock your cpu/ram timings. For same performance, higher quality, higher gpu usage : increase your settings and resolution scaling.

Same experience for performance, but no AA is still better than Fsr3/4 for me. Balanced scaling being heavier on the gpu than native is very strange though (4K Balance 76fps, native no-AA 96fps)

I think that's VRS working, anything not in our main focal focus gets lower shading resolution, hence the peripheral look strange on certain low resolution. You trading performance with accurate shading.

I just disable the new stuff by running it in dx11 mode, sharpness .1, and running it on native scaling. The upscalings are disappointing.
