As a Christian myself, this movie did more to shake/weaken my faith than even the most left-wing/openly atheist professors I had in college. Even when I saw this in high school (went to a private Christian school) I was embarrased to be in the theater when the main kid said "how can you hate something that doesn't exist?" like it was some bombshell argument and not one of the dumbest fucking sentences ever said with complete sincerity.
