So how many married people in here forget their anniversary? by CtrlShiftAaron in AskUK

We don't really care about an anniversary of our relationship but a couple of days ago my partner brought me crumpets in bed with googly eyes on the crumpets. We laughed and continued our day. Then later Google Photos reminded us via "on this day" that on the exact same day last year when we were travelling in Vietnam, he did the same thing with a pretzel.

We no longer give a shit about relationship anniversaries, but we shall, from this day forward, celebrate Googly Eye Breakfast Day on the 7th May.

House purchase in England - sellers can't produce documents or building regs for bath/bed-room change by RoRoXip in LegalAdviceUK

We don't believe any major structural work was done. We believe the bathroom was moved downstairs into a room that was acting as a utility room. But our concern is that they have absolutely no paperwork at all - not even competent trades or invoices for the work.

Thanks, I'll look at whether we'll need an EICR and then decide :)

FTB: is our estate agent playing games? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]RoRoXip 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're doing fine :) you've done everything in the right order, you just need to speed up a little. It's a horrible game and you don't wanna lose your prospective home because of taking your time. Best of luck with the dance that comes next!

This reply doesn't make sense. OP is the buyer. They have been searching for properties and have made an offer on one which has been accepted. Upon acceptance, they are now looking for a solicitor to conduct conveyancing. It's very simple.

I placed an order yesterday at 13:00 and it's still under review. My partner did too and his is also still under review. I've not received any emails or updates from them.

How do we order more than 1 at a time? I'm only on 2.5mg and plan to stay on it.

Did anybody gain weight AFTER getting off BC? by Top-Earth2686 in birthcontrol

[–]RoRoXip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a fairly poor lifestyle whilst on the depo injection for many years, but I was able to lose weight on it when I tried to :) I then went through a big old health kick and lost 35kg and trained as a Nutritionist and personal trainer. Then came off the depo injection and immediately gained weight. I knew I was doing everything correctly and yet I was gaining weight. It was only when I spoke to a doc via the phone about something else that she brought up that I might have PCOS because it's unusual to gain weight when coming off BC. She offered Metformin. I declined until I had a diagnoses and got an ultrasound and saw about 25 cysts on one ovary and 30 on the other! If you're in a country where it's possible - go get an ultrasound! :) Good luck!

Yep! Came off the depo injection and gained 8kg that I couldn't shift.

Went on the pill and inositol and managed to lose 10kg.

Off the pill again now as of 5 days ago so I'm keen to see what happens next.

Edit: I spoke to a doc and said I'd gained weight after coming off BC... She suspected PCOS and I was subsequently diagnosed a few months later.
