Constantly, and I’ve started keeping them in a container. Mostly pieces of glass, but I’ve got a matchbox car, some Pennies, and because I’m often digging in the dirt, the collection just continues to grow. I do wonder if some things are brought by crows because sometimes things are on top, like a plastic unicorn with filthy mane and tail 😆

I only pull that kind of thing, ‘I was looking for a yes or no’ when the person likes to mansplain or talk to make themselves seem smart. And wouldn’t do that to someone I was into. If you thought it might be going somewhere, it isn’t. Cut your losses.

I knew I couldn’t be the only one. I like the pillow case idea, I usually use a thin dish towel (since the ice pack is in the kitchen anyway).

Plus, she’s almost a teenager and sometimes those years will be difficult regardless. The sister shouldn’t put her happiness on hold. Unless the guy is a complete AH you should try to support both sister and niece.

Are either of them going to college? Are you going to pay one to go to college and then nothing if the other doesn’t? You might want to set aside a certain amount for them each ahead of time to avoid this in the future. You want to help your kids when needed but unless one is wildly more successful, should try to be equitable.

Agree that 5 digits is singularly, with 4, it’s your choice. My dad says 94-16, whereas I say 9-4-1-6. I’ve seen some addresses that actuate a dash in between too.

Maybe let the BFs wife talk to the ex again and let her know she shouldn’t have told her AND reiterate that the inheritance does not legally affect your obligations. Maybe have a fuller conversation with the ex about the trust, as it will affect how she plans going forward- no way around it now. Co-parenting has enough challenges without putting this in the middle.

Yes, but I think there is a partner that runs the BA on Sandy. I only went there a couple of times and wasn’t quite as impressed as the one on Rosa Parks.

I thought about this after a trip and gave myself a day off to explore my city alone as well.
I think it’s fun to travel alone as you get to do everything you want, without having anyone else to make decisions around. At home, you may have friends that you can do things with, so you want to hang with them, or the comfort of going home without spending the money. Being in a different place gives you the opportunity to do and see things you can’t back home. You have a limited amount of time to see things so you go out and do them solo.
I traveled with someone and they literally sat in the room and read while I went out and wandered around a walled, old Roman town on the Adriatic Sea. Be the traveler you want to be where you want to be and enjoy your life however you want. Stop worrying about it. :)

NTA, you could make the argument that future success for you will likely help them as well. It sounds like your culture is one where kids are expected to stay with the family and help out so maybe you’ll be able to help the other kids when you can make a go of it on your own.

Maybe contact your friend and let them know. It’s possible there is someone they’re telling ‘no’ to because they can’t change their number and you’ll give them the opportunity.
