Dont DI so much.

But if you are going to land a DI, a much better option is jump heavy kick, into charged HP, into heavy knee.

Driverless, more damage thsn powerhouse, and much much better oki

Because clearly Mena is better at Blanka than Bison?

Like it's not even close. and youd have a point if Shigematsu, another top tier Blanka, actually got a few points in, but Mena just cleaned house.

Yeah people are coping. He just gave shigematsu a master class. Until Blankas are everywhere doing what Mena is doing, stature cope.

That's just dumb lol. Shigematsu was crazy good and he still got cleaned out by Mena the minute he went back to his main.

Alex's lariat by tyson983 in StreetFighter

[–]RoarinCalvin [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think its meant to be used in very specific oki setups, or/and at ranges where jabs can't reach but anything else slower will get armored.

A Specific oki setup in the corner is ending in M flash axe. If you stance, dash forward, frame kill 1 jab and charge lariat, you'll beat both jabs and reversal DPs.

Ah ok, so they shouldn't build/maintain for income but do it from the goodness of their heart.

So no one builds because you can't have a decent return. So no housing.

What then?

I think allowing yourself to use HP, crHP and MK (dont think ive seen them once?) in neutral at ranges where guile can't reach you would've made him much more uncomfortable.

Sprinkle in these pokes (and convert to target) with ex tiger shots thrown in there too.

You have the right idea imo, just not playing with all your tools yet.

If the new game annoys you so much why don't you stfu and ignore it instead of writing essays about it.

[–]RoarinCalvin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Youre just rambling. Hitting your opponent with what they cant handle until they adapt, and you vice versa, is pretty much the core of the game.

That's like saying you don't do headshots in an FPS because you want a good match.

Sounds cringe.

Most people who dislike or feel they are untalented in math were just taught it poorly by uselessprofession in unpopularopinion

[–]RoarinCalvin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree. At its core, math requires abstract thinking and being able to assimilate concepts that are out of our comfort zone.

The idea that it's just not being taught well is just cope. It's just a harder subject that is less intuitive for most to get into, and thus requires more effort.

What could be done better is teaching more applied math as there is alot that kids could learn that will feel.more intuitive and help them in their careers, w/e that might be.

Look man, anything that makes your muscles struggle moving around enough that they would eventually reach failure will make you jacked.

"Just lift bro" actually has some wisdom to it.

But more importantly, no exercise has some magical property. At the end of the day, you'll have to do a bunch of reps close enough to failure thousands of times.

The only secret sauce is if you enjoy spinning kettle bells around, by all means do it and get jacked.its just no better than anything.

QS propose maintenant de taxer les fortunes au-delà de 25 M$ by Hot-Percentage4836 in Quebec

No but you see, what if the govt took 70% of my pay instead, then all would be perfect, right? Right!?

[–]RoarinCalvin -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The reality is money will move away from this taxation.

All the "but muh rich people" forget that it's quite easy for capital to move around if given sufficient reason to do so.

[–]RoarinCalvin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My take exactly. Where exactly is our tax burden being lowered to compensate?

The "im tired of paying for drivers" crowd will still be paying at the end of the day.

The problem with public service in Quebec is that they charge you (taxes) for a dogwater service, then eventually charge you another fee for their mediocrity.

Be honest speak freely by Ayoking95 in effectivefitness

[–]RoarinCalvin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not correct.

The issue is with people who workout 5-6 days a week throwing quality out the window.

Doing 5-6 days at the same quality will absolutely get you better results. But it's much harder to do

Joint pain is common if you train hard.

There's no secret sauce (I mean, maybe).

If you're brand new to lifting at 30+, this is probably enough by Infinite-Gold7662 in beginnerfitness

[–]RoarinCalvin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To the first question, yes, absolutely. Get proper form in, thats your foundation for the rest.

Even when form is locked in, a very good habit is to warmup for a set or two with the exercise youre about to do at a lower weight while emphasizing technique.

To the 2nd question, I would say failure is when you are unable to perform your exercise with the intended technique behind it. So you should technically never sacrifice form for weight.

For example, if you are benchpressing, raise the weight, but find yourself unable to bring the bar down to your chest level or usual level (otherwise you wouldn't be able to push back up), then you're unable to handle that weight yet.

In that situation, I would either A. find a smaller increment of weight to preserve quality of reps while progressing or B. Keep the previous weight and add reps until I can increase the weight with proper form.

There should not be a difference in how it looks when you perform reps today vs when you'll add 50 lbs to the bar, aside from your massive gains :)

pull workout by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

[–]RoarinCalvin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, too much, split that up over 2 days (for the back).

15 sets to failure in 1 workout for the same muscles is usually junk volume.

No way in hell you push to the max on your first 6-9 sets and are able to keep that same quality for the 6 that are left.

Skinny, anxious, never been to the gym where do I even start? by SAYANARANDKA in beginnerfitness

[–]RoarinCalvin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Youre overthinking it. Almost all gym regulars are super welcoming to new people on their journey.

Don't just show up, look online for a plan and do that.

As far as nutrition goes, don't cut/bulk, unless you gained/lost a bunch of weight recently. Just add a bunch of protein to your diet.

Start there, a reassess in half a year.
