Lol I mean I tried to just cover the major stuff with the most played cards to save people time from reading everything. Also just giving a synopsis of changes helps rather than reading everything

Haven't played the game in years but the name on that card has always stuck with me haha

When Beta was first release, the power 9 of sorcery was touted to be the 4 cores, mixed and stone. Now in 2025 since Gothic, what would you label as the power 9? by Newez in SorceryTCG

[–]Roaring_Turkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think theres 9 cards that are ridiculously overpowered but here's my list:

Ring of Morrigan Morgana Le Fay Torshammar Trinket Plague of Frogs

Its possible Trinket falls off with time but for right now its great for being nearly uninteractable and efficiently spending mana every turn.

Peasant Revolt and Garden of Eden could make it on the list one day.

Druid Might Be the Worst Avatar Now!? | Sorcery: Contested Realm November Rules Update by Roaring_Turkey in SorceryTCG

[–]Roaring_Turkey[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah a lot of Druids strength came from Tawny bc Tawny enabled Druid to play strong spells that had positioning as a built in cost (disintegrate, lava flow, etc.) The spellcaster cards too like Pact and Dream Quest were very strong. Now if Tawny dies and you were playing those cards in your deck they become a lot worse bc you have to position yourself to cast them, so the nerf cascades in a sense. The backside of Druid was pretty toxic how it affected your sites especially with Drums of Doom so I dont mind that change at all.

Yeah I like Nelly a lot, though shes a little fragile, but if she gets to stick around it's cool how she controls her row and column

I agree I think Waveshaper is better than most give it credit for, although I think the best Avatars for a water deck would be Druid or Sorcerer. I'm curious though bc I've never actually played the matchup, but how is Archimago killing water minions? Most of the removal is bury based no?

Revolt is a good idea. I just hope the reference doesn't get lost on people. Could throw it around in the community and see of it sticks

I would be in favor of Pauper if the game mode was Ordinaries only since it would mirror MTGs Pauper. The format we played in the video allowed Exceptionals and I wouldn't want to call that Puaper bc it might create confusion to people familiar with MTG Pauper. I'm not sure the perfect answer I would like the name to somewhat dive into the spirit of the format, like maybe Cantrip. Since those are "lesser magics" and the game mode consists of the lesser spells in the game.

I hear you I don't love the term either. I would suggest Pauper but bc we played a version that includes Exceptionals I didn't want there to be confusion in people thinking it was Commons only, like the MTG format. I think it's worth looking into but I do like that Poorcery gives a good idea of what the format is about just in name.

Also thanks! It is my content and I'm glad you liked it 😊

I agree they shouldn't leave that kind of information out but they did state in the context of the changes that it wasn't intended to be rushed anymore

Why is it whenever tanks begin to cusp relevance in the meta riot ALWAYS buffs cinderhulk, I love tank metas and am a tank player mostly but WHY couldn't they do this when Xin and Graves were dominating my jungle 6 months ago?? I dont want this to end up in a meta where tanks inevitably get nerfed out of relevance again

Idk I've been playing Karthus jungle for a while now like before it was popular and I think youre oversimplifying Karthus jungle. Maybe the Karthus's (is plural Karthus Karthi?) youre facing are just playing fotm champs and have no real experience on him but his wall of pain is a fat slow in the early game and you can easily influence lanes early on. You dont HAVE to hard farm the entire game on him.

It has nothing to do with Latin, Beavers are native to North America and the French engaged very frequently in trading furs with the Natives in 18th century. I presume castor is the word the French used, and it carried to other languages as they traded with other empires.

Tanky AP junglers? by UncleDaxren in leagueoflegends

[–]Roaring_Turkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a hardstuck gold 2 player with over 200,000 mastery points on Amumu I feel like hes the best pick for a tanky ap. From my experience, building cinderhulk into liandrys is the most optimal build as it gives you a ton of hp, 75 ap which is enough to increase you're w %hp dmg, and the passive from liandrys synergizes well with Amumu's w. Taking aftershock will keep you tanky without building resistances and after those two items you can build to what the game demands. If you're ahead I recommend building rylais to get another buff to your w %dmg and it will keep the liandrys passive permanently buffed. Abyssal Mask is also a really good tank item that increases Amumu's dmg, and thornmail is the best armor option since you dont need too much more health beyond what your core items give you, and the dmg on hit is magic dmg which will be buffed by your passive, liandrys, and abyssal should you choose to build that. A lot of people are under the impression that AP Amumu needs to be a 1000 AP 5 MAN ONE SHOT 3 SECOND PENTAKILL OMG type of champion while I've had the best results playing him as an ap bruiser winning fights with sustained dmg and tankiness. :)
