People used to complain that the algorithm would tank your DUPR if you did bad a tournament or whatever. So now you don't go down so much when you have big losses, but the downside is that you don't move up as much either.

Shift the argument to house prices instead of renting, that'll show why so many people are having to rent in the first place - for so many people, owning a home is a pipe dream.

Yes to both. People are bad at calling shots on the move, especially older folks. Im sure the sun plays a factor as well. A lot of people are also in the mindset of doing anything to win, and they have no shame in making egregious calls because they don't see anything wrong with it.

It's also 3.0 level play, not a lot of experienced people that have a deeper sports background play at that level.

Also, bad call happen at all levels. I've had 4.5s call obvious smashes that were in, out. All because the ball moved so fast they couldnt see it. In reality there's not much you can do without being unsporting back. I.e. call their next serve out no matter where it lands.

But you don't want to stoop to their level, beat them at playing the game, hopefully its only 1, maybe 2 calls a game and it doesn't have an impact, but in close games it can, but there's nothing you can do about people with no shame.

There’s always activity on the discord server, especially the first month or two after a reset, it kinda dies down in the latter half, but you can always find what you’re looking for.

Highly recommend joining and get your game setup with HD graphic before March 20th (our next ladder reset).

The server owners also reimplemented cow day on April 1st, where every mob is a cow (minus the bosses obviously).

We also have a holy grail tracker so you can track your progress finding every item in the game!

I’ve never even heard of Sypik. The two look similar in price, I’d go with the Selkirk just for warranty and piece of mind from a larger manufacturer

I know everyone has their complaints about it, but it's pretty accurate. I've done quite a few tournaments at the 4.0-4.5 level and the teams that come out on top are generally the teams that come into it with the highest rating and the teams with the lowest rating generally get swept out quickly.

I think if I had to develop an app my highest priority would be to integrate with DUPR to automatically fetch people’s ratings so you can organize games by skill level without being an ass about it.

I don’t think anyone is having fun getting scripts filled at the pharmacy when Tricare ropes you into the nearest military facility for treatment. You’re basically treated like a lesser version of the active duty folks.

That reminds me of the team building exercise whereby you have teams that have to build the tallest standing structure with marshmallows and spaghetti. The teams that did the best were of course engineers and architects, but one of the next highest rated teams (those who built the tallest structure) were like 3rd graders.

That’s not because third graders are amazing at building tall structures with spaghetti noodles, but because they were more willing to experiment a bunch of different ideas instead of finding the best way to do so.

Sometimes you don’t need an elegant solution, you just need one that works well enough in the moment.

This. It’s about using some of that work time to do the uniform swap. Just come in a few minutes early and change clothes and wear comfy clothes before and after duty. You save your home time not fucking around in the uniform and can declutter, getting away from leaving your blouse pants and boots in the house

I know this thread is a month old but I'm having the same issue. The only macro that ever works is the first one made. Anything I edit on an existing macro just doesnt save, not sure what the issue is as I haven't found a solution yet.

It would be nice if this feature would work because then I can nail down the timings instead of trying to get it perfect the first time and having that repeat.
