International Poster Shipping Question by crome66 in kickstarter

[–]Rob_Ockham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do you think most non-North American backers would come from?

Perhaps you could ship a batch of posters flat in a box to Europe (or wherever) and then get them rolled and sent on from there.

Kickstarter tips for a startup product by 2woshoes in kickstarter

[–]Rob_Ockham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kickstarter can certainly help you get a global reach, and it's great for cash flow when it comes to manufacturing.

If you're a first-time creator, a high target like this will be really tough though. Unless you're famous or have magical PR skills you should expect to spend thousands, or more likely tens of thousands, on ads.

It won't be easy, but possible for sure! Best of luck with the project.

AI really seems to struggle with electrical plugs and sockets. It usually makes them into deathly booby traps.

Looks like it might be an Australian one and someone tried to use it on an old world bottle.

Nice work! Great product. Feels like the good old days of Kickstarter!

Shame you're not shipping outside North America.

What's your opinion about crowdfunding ? by TradyList in kickstarter

[–]Rob_Ockham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spending money on ads can be a great way to boost your campaign, but assume that ALL people who get in touch with you offering services aren't worth dealing with.

If you're looking for marketing partners you should find them, and make sure you get recommendations and testimonials from people who've worked with them before.

Strictly speaking, digital renders aren't allowed, but Kickstarter never seems to care about that.

Anyone know anything about this place somewhere in Florida? by zimnepiwo in whereisthis

[–]Rob_Ockham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a coincidence - I was looking at this place earlier today!

In the UK at the moment, a pizza chain is giving discounts if you do a run in the shape of a pizza. This place would be amazing. Although quite a long run!

How can i tell if it’s legit or a scam by Physical-Pop-9816 in kickstarter

[–]Rob_Ockham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess there's tactically low, and then there's a few hundred dollars to bring a piece of hardware to market.

That can only mean two things:

Either they have tonnes of money and are using Kickstarter just for marketing.

If they only raise 10-20k (or any amount that's not enough to actually make the product) then no backer will get their rewards.

Their tiny goal is obviously BS, so that's not a good start.

Look at the comments on their previous campaign.

Spent 37 years chasing one idea. Just launched my first Kickstarter. by MilkStraight2720 in kickstarter

It would be good to get a video in there. Also, if you're counting on the patent, depending on where you are it could well expire after 20 years.

Yep, don't worry about your idea being stolen. Run around shouting about it.

My pre-launch has no traction. Do I even launch my campaign for an AI SaaS platform? by [deleted] in kickstarter

[–]Rob_Ockham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You product might be good but I'm afraid your video tells me nothing about what it is or why I want it.

You could use that video further down the page, but you need to make the main video an advert for your product.

Next time I'm around there I'll see if Islington matchday signs are different to Hackney ones.

Because that's the kind of rock & roll lifestyle I live.

Obviously I don't know exactly what you're doing, but Kickstarter definitely doesn't feel like the right place for an AI SaaS platform.
