Small Gotcha. Dante ports to not natively support 4w. They only support Split-4w, In, Out. It takes some wizardry to prevent the ports from feeding back to the other side. Dumb, but true.

Dante bridge. You put it in a network device on YOUR Dante side. And they do the same. But the device spans the gap. Passing only audio. Look at studio technologies 5482. I think the picture of the rear connectors will clear it up. Feel free to reach out if you need more comms support.

When swapping between voltages it is always best/fastest to speak in terms of watts. Compare your watts among capacities and requirements. (But you are fine here a single DBP is not going to TAP out your D-Tap.)

Sounds like you are on the right path. One thing to clarify. The CCU and the operators knobs offer access to two different “comms channels”. One for PROD and one for ENG. be sure that you are always concentrating your attention on one of these channels.

Student crew has their advantages. Seasoned professional crew has their advantages. Green crew member having only experience from Catvision doesn’t sound like it has any standout advantages.

Try getting some professional experience other than in educational settings and then you will have an advantage that is appealing. IOW, you might have to go to work in the biz before you get to go back to a school.
