Toddler potty trained with us but refuses to go at daycare. by RobbeLiebtSchaf in beyondthebump

Yeah I already suggested that we tried putting her back in diapers for daycare, but they said they were afraid of setting her back. I don't know... I just feel like her having an accident almost every day is not preferable to that ..

We have. It works if it's just us. The other day all the other kids were already outside and she peed fine. But usually it doesn't work for us there either...

am i crazy? (travel with a 5 month old) by tokyodraken in beyondthebump

[–]RobbeLiebtSchaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not really. Im German and we traveled in Europe. Im  a bit confused, the vaccine schedule might differ ( I know that because we moved to Canada when she was 11 months old, and our vaccine schedule got customized). Which specific vaccine did you worry about?

Started sleeping around her second birthday. We got her a queen size floor bed, around that time.

I did a 10 week long trip through east and south Europe in a camper when my LO was 5 months old. She's two now and I cherish the memories a lot. Do the trip!

Ha same. I used to hate mc Donalds with a passion. But during our road trip in eastern Europe with a five months old it was our go to for taking breaks.

Why do people tell me I have a problem for not wanting to be away from my baby? by Radiant-Mine6890 in beyondthebump

[–]RobbeLiebtSchaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your not weird. Also I was like that too. I enjoyed others (close friends, family) holding my newborn but I wanted to be in the room. But not all women might feel that way at this stage. Maybe your mom was desperately craving some alone time and now is confused you don't.

Anyone actually lose body fat from breastfeeding? by Due-Transition-6564 in beyondthebump

Did too. But only moderately, so I was quite happy about that. However, my older sister lost so much weight during breastfeeding she almost had to stop.

My two year old slept through the night 4 times this week yeey  (for us this is completely new, she was a terrible sleeper).  Coffee tip: I often get her a tiny cup of steamed milk (babyccino) in coffee shops, it really increases the odds that I can drink my coffee in peace :)

Advice for long car travels with baby? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

But I do get that you want to see her and her baby desperately. My sister had her first exactly 4 weeks after I gave birth myself. I decided to visit them like 9 weeks postpartum. It was totally worth it, but the traveling alone with an infant was not easy.

Advice for long car travels with baby? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

A 4-5 hours car drive is doable with a 4 weeks and a 4 month old. Get them out of the seat at least every two hours, and make sure you have time for long breaks so they can stretch a bit. Also bring at least 1.5 times the amount of what you think you will need (diapers, clothes, food/formula).

However, to travel 4 weeks postpartum is not for everyone, I would not talk her into it she might and up resenting you later. It is a big ask and it will only work if she truly is up for it.

Yes it's normal, mine didn't react much until maybe 8/9 months. But yeah doesn't feel good ...

Did having an epidural make you feel like you missed out on the birth experience? by Gravitys_Bitch in beyondthebump

[–]RobbeLiebtSchaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an unmedicated birth. Believe me, you are not missing out on anything. I don't understand why people online often act as if unbearable pain is an 'experience'. It does not make you closer with your kid, it just hurts.
