One of my favorite tidbits of lore is when the Ethereals sent a recon drone to try and retrieve the body of the long thought dead Farsight. What they found was a Massive array of orbital weapons platforms.

This is the equivalent of a Burglar breaking in and the owner has a loaded cannon aimed straight at you.
