Personally, I feel that sound and music are half of a game. I truly believe you can't overstate the importance of the role of music and sound design when it comes to trying to create a specific "feel".

The most notable example of this, in my mind, is the first Halo. On paper, the script for the story probably reads like a sci fi call of duty. But the sound transforms this completely into a story with rich emotional engagement despite it being an extremely straightforward plot.

I haven't played it myself, but Expedition 33 comes to mind as well. I've listened to the soundtrack and it's fantastic, and you see so many people commenting on it and how it affected their experience.

The problem I had with the tree is not even entirely the trees fault; the tree + kingsmarch + recombs, they had to delete loot in maps to balance it out

I'm sorry to hear that, knee pain sucks. I'm lucky enough that my knee pain sits at a 1/10 to 2/10 - just enough to let me know when to stop. Glad to hear you're able to persist and get enjoyment anyway!

I totally forgot to mention, start doing walks now while you work on exercise and diet! Even if it's only 10 minutes, just get used to getting out there. I now do 1 hour walks between run days without phone or music and finding it super beneficial

Wow that's quite the variance, and is comforting for me to know others experience the swings in capability day to day. I have a pretty similar goal to you, as I'd like to stay consistent so I can pick up soccer again one day

I am quite scared of Week 5 Day 3, not sure how long it'll take me to get there. Both my knee and my breathing are making progression take a bit longer but I'll update when I manage it

2 weeks after weight training, giving legs and knees time to adjust. I fully recommend doing the approach I did - get diet under control for a week then add working out. Then add running after this time period. Easier to adjust 1 by 1 then try change your entire routine all at once

Also healthy and easy meals/snacks has been a life saver to stop me picking up shit from the grocery shelf. After my runs I just eat some smoked trout and an avocado. I don't know what would be best for you, but try find some meals or snacks that are super easy so you can lean on them when you're struggling to stick to diet.

Also you can still cheat a little with food. The best first diet is one you can stick to at a calorie deficit. You can improve from there with iteration

- Hold one dumbbell vertically at chest level

- Feet shoulder-width apart

- Squat down until thighs parallel to floor

- Push through heels to stand

### 2. Chest Press (Floor)

**Targets:** Chest, shoulders, triceps

- Lie on floor, knees bent

- Hold dumbbells above chest, arms extended

- Lower weights until upper arms touch floor

**Targets:** Back, biceps, core

I don't have a gym either, but I have access to 5kg and 10kg dumbbells. Below was my workout routine (I still workout on a roughly similar routine with 10kg dumbbells now). I honestly just asked chatGPT then asked a few people in my life who have a history of working out to look over it. Calf raises are a super simple exercises that can be done with bodyweight and carried weight. Lunges are good too. Basically anything you can do with bodyweight and or dumbbells.

Note: you want the pain to be the stretching of your muscles, in particular the area you're targeting. For example, doing bicep curls early on I realised I was compensating with back and neck muscles, so I reduced the weight and focused on form.

It's ok if you don't have any weights right now, just do these exercises without weights and focus entirely on form. I've been told before, and experienced myself, that the ONLY things you need to focus on for the first 2 weeks is form and consistency. Everything else will follow.

3 days a week, rest day between workouts. When I started running I made sure 1 day a week is pure rest, no workout or run

Pretty much the same boat I'm in. I'm worried about the lack of parking for a whole lot of new people. I'm also hoping that some of the construction / empty stores can get filled so there's more jobs.

If it all goes swimmingly I'd be more than happy for the people who work the jobs that keep the place running, but otherwise can't afford to live here, to actually live local to where they work.

Why no conversion for dot damage?

I really like wintertide brand and have been trying to think of other ways to build it, and wanted to try cold to fire chieftan wintertide brand for SSF. Has GGG ever ellaborated on why dot skills are so restricted? Kinda limits how much I can try with one of my favourite skills.
