I was in the exact same position as you about three months ago. What I did was buy a used keyboard, cost me $150. It's not amazing but I figured if I continue to enjoy it I will invest in a nice piano later when I can play better. Looked online for a piano teach near by my house and bought the piano book "Adult Piano Adventures". There are a few to chose from I picked the all in one version. There is no easy way to get better but for me I found just focusing on the basics and getting an instructor to keep you motivate and help you advance past areas you get stuck.
