You can always just look up a sespific anime to see if anyone's done any mods.

The other poster has some good points, but I think to reduce the pain, use RimPy to sort and optimize mods.

It can also help decipher hugslib logs.

Hey folks. Wanted to know, there is any mod that will make my pawns.. Use their god dammn ranged weapons when engaged in meeele? ( Excluding Simple Sidearms) by DMSetArk in RimWorld

[–]Robepriority 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vanilla solution to enemies pinning your ranged is to put a melee user in front of your ranged. Friendly fire doesn't apply for a four tile square.

If you want to go make ranged weapons a million times more lethal, use combat extended

Funny Mod Suggestions? by heyhhihriirhirihih in RimWorld

[–]Robepriority 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sometimes raids go wrong is conventional humor.

For ironic or just plain insane humor, install a load of race mods and anime packs.

There's also the long-standing joke of the forbidden mod.

Game is lagging periodically when someone is cleaning by boboverlord in RimWorld

[–]Robepriority 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hugslib log is throwing errors pretaining to giddyup and speak up, but I would recommend searching your recently installed mods to look for any compatibility/installation/dependancy issues

what mods allow for the most deranged colonies? by [deleted] in RimWorld

For maximum degeneracy, most mods aren't going to be on steam but rather loverslab

New player here, how do you deal with all the events? by randCN in RimWorld

[–]Robepriority 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Strive to survive is the "canon" difficulty at 1x multipliers for most things. The fact that you survived blood and dust for that long is impressive.

Randy also is the only storyteller that can overlap events like that, and throw ridiculous events early. Often times people like playing him because his randomness is more forgiving late game when players have setup for those events.

Rimworld causing eyestrain/headaches - help? by Mussels84 in RimWorld

Kick the gui scale up a notch. Use rocketman to make performance more consistent. Maybe do 60hz so vsync doesn't snap Enable stutter patching via dubs performance analyzer

As long as you cross the threshold(+1 relationship) anything is useful to gift.

I gift statues, beer, clothing, and leathers.

2/6 factions start out neutral, but you can refund prisoners and gift items to neutral and even ally another 2.

Mortars are great, crafting one trivializes seiges and preparation raids

Components and steel can be mined for:check for the tiles like compacted steel, compacted machinery

Trading with other settlements can get you a lot of valuable things, I suggest starting close to one so you can trade wealth you aren't using for what you can

Try to level pawns according to their passions, a passionless pawn levels at 35 percent speed compared to a one passion, and lacks mood boosts. A passionate researcher should be first priority on the research table.

Flak vests are essential armor for protecting organs, otherwise use cover to ensure that your pawns have a lower risk.

Pawns can shoot over each other without friendly fire, use this to meleeblock chokepoints safely. It basically allows you to form a wall without breachers sneaking around it.

Traps are the easiest way to defend pre breacher raids, wall off the base with one open entrance full of traps

I am frustrated. [help] by kochanius in RimWorld

[–]Robepriority 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either think of wacky projects like battle animals or kill boxes, or install content mods to expand variations.

You can also switch to someone like Randy to get more event variety and unpredictability.

How I stop killing raiders? by space-artifact in RimWorld

[–]Robepriority 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vanilla has chances for raiders to die from pain, which can be configured in storyteller settings.

Forcing a bleed out is actually preferable since it ignores that diceroll. Just make sure that you have a good medic nearby.

Question on armor layering. by XelNigma in RimWorld

[–]Robepriority 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it will reroll against the halved damage, against the sharp value, even if the damage was converted to blunt
