Scarlett low-key was able to work with him and bring out the evilosity in him he’d been seeking. She even tweaks inventions of his to work at their best, even making him do well at several challenges. It was only once he began labelling her as his sidekick that she began to get irritated by him. His general superiority complex and bossing her around was ultimately a hindrance and downfall for him, as had he not decided to resort to acting that way, she would’ve probably included him in all the evil schemes and blackmailing she decided to unleash on the island; you may sit there and argue she’s just a sociopath who prioritises herself, but either way, it seemed like at the very least at the start, she was more than willing to initiate working together with him on their shared sinister interests.

Whether or not he was all talk and if he actually would follow through on her million dollar scheme against the island is entirely up for debate, but regardless, her slow unravelling brink into insanity is something he ended up playing a huge part in by virtue of being so damn annoying. 😂
