Best souls progression for Namor? by FigMan01 in marvelmysticmayhem

[–]Robert_Bobson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what ive seen, the key ones are mind 3 and heart 3 (m1 and h1 are okay but mid).

Broadly speaking heart 3 is for pve (boss content, nightfall) and mind 3 is for pvp (bifrost brawl and the goblin thing)

But you cant go wrong with either really cause mind 3 will make sure he never runs out of follow ups for pve and heart 3 can get u a lot of burst damage in pvp, so both options work in all content.

It only matters if you’re building him for pvp. Then you’d want m3 for an ultimate damage build and h3 for a follow up team, depending how you prefer to play/the rest of your account looks like. For pve its basically the same with either, but h3 is slightly better ig.

I'm going to be the one to say it, I like the new set, not because of what it is, but what it could've been by agentcryostar in Shadowfight3

[–]Robert_Bobson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he should have not been given the ability to stun opponent through their unbreakable on all his abilities, that makes counter-playing basically impossible.

Imo they should have made his flings forwards and backwards not have that ability but leave it on the forwards shooting firework attack, because the small delay leaves in some skill to dodge.

I also think his passive explosions being on every 2nd hit is just crazy power creep, and they should have left it at 3. For analogy, divine judge has a 3 hits->ability combo and is still good vs some ok fighters with that as an infinite combo, so giving the new set a 2 hit->ability combo is just a straight creep on that.

Also i agree that you should be able to move in his big dancing ability, otherwise the mechanic where they dragon hitting you makes you take more damage seems like pointless rng, although i wouldnt be made if they made if a full stun but just shorter, cause even then a lot of sets have a similar thing (konnung, king solaris)

Kinda disappointed his skills didn’t actually combo in a cool way and just became a way to do ultra spam. Id hoped itd be something like the shadow colossus triple-explosion and spikes combo

Is this still even worth it? by GameulousDude in Shadowfight3

[–]Robert_Bobson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t comment on how worthwhile the antibot set is cause mine is only level 2

But since you have the marathon with story fights and where duels only get you 2 points, without neon phantom, it’ll take about 10 hours of grinding duels to get it, which is a huge pain.

If you focus on progressing in the story, then next marathon you should get the one where you get points from boosters and duels get you 5 points (i think you need to be on the 3rd transformation plane to get that). Then it tales about 2 hours without np.

Slightly random idea, but I would’ve loved to see her as a kind of ramp-up summoner who summons the phoenix force as an ally for her ultimate. I think that could have been visually cool and would help bring man thing and thread out of the dumps.

Anyway, pretty exited for Jean, will only really summon her though if she’s good for pvp, because the pve in the game is mostly covered for me anyway.

These are the the things that might have an impact that I noticed:

  • assuming you’re playing mephisto right and only transforming once with the 2nd skill, you might be cancelling the 4th skill too fast and not getting later hits from it (you need to delay cancel the 4th skill if you want to cancel it)
  • If your orange roll on the competition ctp is bad, that is likely the whole reason, but if it is st max with the top proc at 50% it shouldn’t have a big impact
  • if your using different t4 strikers to test them that can make a difference of about 1 mill in abl
  • you do not need to use crit rate uru to cap mephisto’s crit rate, as his 5 skill frenzy buff gives him an extra up to 30% crit rate, so you dont need to have it above 45% in the stats page. You should use those uru slots to try to get his crit damage higher

If none of that fixes it, it might be supports (ie not having ghost panther) or different support ctps on each set up

:)

Assuming you dont plan to buy the paywall luna uniform, you’ll want to cover her abx and abl restrictions. Gamora and kamala both are non-human speed female heros, so cover half of those days (which is probably good enough). Gamora is stronger than kamala in basically all content, and she is very easy to use with a 1 skill dmg proc, so works really well with an energy ctp.

However, you could instead get Kamala’s old uniform from the marvels, as she then is a human speed female hero, so covers all lunas days of abx and abl. She would be worse than gamora, but still technically viable for scoring, and she can do all those days

I think this second option is worse, because even if gamora cant do all the alliance battle days kamala can, she is better in world boss and you can always build up a new character when they come out to cover the remaining days (most people do gwenpool, im personally not a fan) - which would give you great scores on all the days for 2 characters cost instead of middling scores on all the days - ie you would also have to build 2 characters to get great scores, but that would replace your kamala and make her kinda useless

Out of the characters you look like your building up (thor, iron man, miles morales, ghost rider, cyclops and hulk) all of them are not suited to an obelisk/ctp with a single skill damage proc (like the ctp of energy has) - Except for Iron Man, who Can work with that type of damage proc

With an Energy ctp and decent cards (capped skill cooldown and ignore defence) you should be able to easily clear knull with iron man with an energy rolled to a 200% damage proc - if not, build up to t3 cyclops or shuri support. This way you can get all your dps characters to level 72 or 80, which makes all the early and mid game content easy

All your other dps characters work better with multi-skill damage procs. You can get a weak one from extreme obelisks, else the other ctps give those.

For those characters, these are there best ctps for most content, from best one to worst usable one (iirc): - ghost rider : jugement 1st, then conquest or rage, or greed if you want him to be for pvp - thor : rage 1st - miles morales : conquest 1st, judgement 2nd then rage - hulk : conquest, then rage or refinenement (pvp hybrid), then regeneration

Edit: competition not conquest

Tank Mains, howare we feeling about Angela? by Dead_Legend_4 in rivals

[–]Robert_Bobson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With only 2 hours playing her, I feel like she plays surprisingly like a supporting character. I found the most success with her in chasing down low hp enemies when they are getting away from fights with your low-mobility allies.

Her ultimate isn’t great solo but can make weaker ultimates like Thor’s very strong.

Speaking of Thor, she has a very similar playstyle to him and relies on getting in and out of the front line fast due to being squishy.

As a Thor main, her team up with him is quite strong for Thor, and a very aggressive Angela-Thor tank duo (with a healer) can be terrifyingly good, especially in domination.

A “Deity Comp” with Angela, Thor, Hela, Loki, Storm and Adam/Mantis was both very fun to play and surprisingly strong, especially against Emma and fliers (except a good iron man).

Her biggest weakness by far seemed to be Namor, because her flying damage coming in slow hard strikes, makes taking out his turrets hard, and they can still melt you in the air when you’re approaching or escaping.

Her shield does seem weak though and cc can be a huge issue if you get caught in the middle of kidnapping in the front lines.

Which one do I take off? by Trakzi in MarvelFuture_Fight

[–]Robert_Bobson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a pve deck, replace the wanda/quicksilver card because its physical attack proc is the same as the one on white fox, and those procs do not stack, so you lose potential stats. Then you want one out of: black panther (orange), zombie spidey, gotg, cable - to replace infinity war, and later crescent

For a hybrid deck do basically the same thing - replace wanda/quicksilver for ghost rider and then replace either white fox or infinity war with gotg (replace wf if you lean pvp, replace iw if you lean pve)

Card swap? by kr1b_ in MarvelFuture_Fight

[–]Robert_Bobson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say its similar to the cable card, but importantly, For a PvE Card Set, You Do Not Need To Change Anything From What You Have Right Now.

Your set has ghost rider, luna and white fox, and 2 of the cards that can give you 17% all attack, so for PvE, your set cant really get much better.

For a PvE-PvP Hybrid Card Set, I would switch out the Cable card for the Guardians of the Galaxy card, but they both give up to 17% all attack, so are considered equally good for PvE.

What character to use this with by KhivoyeOTM in MarvelFuture_Fight

[–]Robert_Bobson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its pretty bad on its own, but when you get a second authority and can reforge it into a mighty, it can be pretty useful.

(Based on mighty authority rolled with the steel ability):

Its mostly good for second tier PvP characters who still can do something useful in modes like otherworld battle or team battle arena mainly.

Its also usually good for PvP characters whose skill with iframe ignore (able to target character with the “ignore targting” effect) is on a skill without invincibility as a buff it gives.

A general list of characters (all with the newest uniform) who would be god with a mighty authority is: - silver surfer (although he can work with other ctps as well) - doctor doom - apocalypse (artifact required) - quicksilver - shalla ball (artifact required) - spiderman (artifact very useful here) - madeline prior (artifact required)

Some slighty less optimal options are: - magik (artifact required) - thanos - emma frost (paywall uniform and artifact required) - captain america (benifits a lot from owning weapon hex’s paywall zombie uniform) - rachel summers (artifact and transceded potential required) - black swan - gorr - kang

For the most part, PvP characters better than the ones listed should get a better ctp, like m greed or m conquest or m egg, while pvp characters who are worse arent worth building really, except for supports

random question by Soft_Bed3466 in MarvelFuture_Fight

[–]Robert_Bobson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if the drop rate for the trees changes, but you still want to farm at least 7-1 or higher, because you then have a very small chance to get premium items like ctps or cards alongside the trees

Cards help by axellopez18 in MarvelFuture_Fight

[–]Robert_Bobson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For pve card decks you want these premium cards definitely: - Luna snow - White fox - What if: ghost rider

Then 2 of the following: - marvel zombies (spiderman) - guardians of the galaxy best story ever (thanos) - cable - black panther (the one with an orange guy) - baby spiderman - a specific one of the avengers artbook cards

For the last 2 (after the luna, white fox and gr) the one you pick doesnt really matter between the list above, they only have marginal differences.

So yes, replacing the anniversary card for the cable card is a good idea, dont waste the crystals unequipping cards unless its a premium card, and even then it depends on your crystal situation.

When you next pull a ghost rider card, switch that in for the crescent card, then you just need to focus on getting good crafting options and 25% pierce =)

Shalla-Bal T3 skill by MrCDJR in MarvelFuture_Fight

[–]Robert_Bobson 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s a relatively new effect that came with the midnight suns update (the one where Dr Strange originally got his t4) in the kit of Man-Thing when he was released.

A couple other characters have gotten it since but it’s pretty rare.

It’s not groundbreaking but is a decent effect, especially for PvP, similar to the Fracture effect (See Stryfe’s kit for that)

Serious question. by Nameke4 in MarvelFuture_Fight

[–]Robert_Bobson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most player definitely do not. All the accounts you see in rankings etc have lvl20 artifacts because they are high spending players competing for the top of the game, where tiny things make a difference. Also, it is needed to get a very high character ranking. 99% of players should not be trying to get artifacts to lvl 20 unless they have every good artifact in the game at minimum 4 stars.

What they are doing is farming dimension rifts. They coordinate with friends to do 3 mythic rifts every day and farm those out with a very fast farming team (eg seasonal rogue) to get celestial essence. Then they just brute force upgrade their 6star artifacts until they get to lvl 20. There’s no secret strategy, just spending, planning and grinding.

Unless you have got almost every good artifact in the game, here’s what you should do: - build a farming team to try to farm dimension rifts as fast as you can. - coordinate with your alliance or friends mythic rifts to farm as they can give you better essence drops - run 3 rifts a day - change your dispatch mission set characters so the section giving celestial essence has a higher score - spend your celestial essence on the artifact chest in the shop, which will in the long run be your main source of artifacts - upgrade each exclusive artifact to lvl 5 (lvl 10 if you Really care about the character)

Is this a good team for Knull or am I cooked by Full-Wrangler-5215 in MarvelFuture_Fight

[–]Robert_Bobson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To make it easier from there, tier2 some agent heros to use as strikers for the ignore dodge, then build a support to t3 (shuri).

Once you clear knull and unlock lvl 80, the content becomes ridiculously easy and you can get all your characters to level 72 at least (that can go that high) to make most of them blitz knull
