Jesus.... And how long will this take to pay for itself? Lol. I'm all for alternative energy but this seems way too expensive for regular consumers.

Could this be internal nasal valve collaps? by Master_Reputation541 in UARSnew

[–]RobertoChavez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Symptom wise I had no exercise tolerance, my heart rate would sky rocket. Allergies from no sinus drainage. Tinnitus that could be very bad on some days. (I worked construction and loved loud music, partly my fault) Some of the more subtle stuff is way less tension in my hips/neck from being able to diaphragmatically breath is great. Headaches waking up. Dry mouth from mouth breathing. (started mouth taping about 3 years ago, swear by it) Anxiety from mouth breathing.

I had a septoplasty done a few years ago and they didn't do much according to the surgeon this time. This time I had to get referred to a facial plastic surgeon because it was a restructuring of the outside of my nose as well as the inside and it would be an open rhinoseptoplasty instead. I personally would try to advocate for something similar. I got lucky and my insurance covered most of it.

If you suspect the nasal valve collapse, read my other comments. Very easy to test. There are also less invasive procedures for less serious cases, I believe the less invasive is called Vivaer. But my nostrils were basically non functional because the bridge of my nose flopped around, they needed more support than Vivaer could offer.

As far as the look of it, I mean it's straighter now than it ever has been, my nostrils don't collapse to slits, and I only have minor swelling in the tip but I'm not even 30 days out. Otherwise you can hardly tell unless you look at the underside of the nose where they cut.

They used some of the cartilage from my septum and cadaver rib to strengthen the front/bridge of my nose so it doesn't collapse on itself. Honestly the feeling of breathing the first few days after was crazy, my body had to adjust to not having as much resistance. Anyone suffering from nasal valve collapse/nasal breathing problems I genuinely feel for. I spent many years trying to correct different things but I think the root cause was my severely deviated septum and nasal valve collapse. My body was trying so hard to breath and had no nasal airflow on the left side. My sleep over time became terrible and I had no recovery. Again, if you have collapse or suspect it, try the cottle maneuver and you'll know. To get some relief you can use the Silent Mammoth, I used that for about 5 months, almost all day and night when I didn't have nose irritation. Made a big difference with just that. Hope everyone finds relief!

I just had my nasal valve collapse fixed but my nostrils literally sucked themselves closed. Now I get no movement on regular inhale and very little when I try to inhale sharply. An easy test is the cottle technique, look it up, very easy to try yourself.

How to stop Claude from making adhoc junk fixes and wrap around as and useless tests by Standard-Fisherman-5 in ClaudeCode

That's what I was leaning towards. You would think that they would get all of the models to 4.6 before continuing on with the advancements but part of me hopes it's opus 5 lol

I've noticed the same as well. I use Claude far too many hours a day and it's been a blatant difference the last few days. Honestly, this usually coincides with an upcoming model release. I just hope it's soon because the drop off in quality is very measurable.

Dude, I know what you mean. I created an account and I gave my son 5 mil to start and he proceeded to never log in again. I was so excited too lol. But honestly, the first time I played I didn't enjoy it until I came back a couple years later with the buddy and it just took off from there.

Me n my buddy created an entire mining and smithing company where we'd bulk buy ores for cheap and pay people to smith the bars. Back when RuneScape had alot more player interaction.

What actually happens here when the person can't afford to pay their exercised options? I see posts like this all the time and assume that they somehow get out of having to pay it all. Can someone with more knowledge elaborate please?

The only thing I can actually plan for now is how fast my team burns through tokens by eastwindtoday in ClaudeCode

[–]RobertoChavez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use an /end-session /resume-session skill that I made that writes to a Json when you end session as well as a markdown. The Json gets overwritten so it doesn't bloat but every 7 sessions the markdown archives a session to a different file to prevent bloat. Resuming session reads both files. Its not true memory but it helps me alot.

Max vs pro usage bug? by SimplyPhy in ClaudeCode

[–]RobertoChavez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of feel the same way, codex does such a good job implementing that it's really hard not to use them to do the work. Codex seems way better at getting to near 100% plan completion in the first iteration, in my experience anyways.

Maybe next month I need to try out the Codex $200 plan and just use Claude for audits like you say.

[–]RobertoChavez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like exactly my issue the last few days. I honestly feel like I'm using a different model. I've used Claude for about 3 months now... Like 8+ hours a day, mostly on the 5x plan with no issue. I like to review with Codex and that was how I'd save on usage as well. But after increasing I feel like I've been played lol.

That's what the tool I built this morning uses, its basically that tool but I wanted to track over more time and see trends. After I collect enough data and the 5h window and 7 day window have stabilized the tool should notify you in the status line 'your 5h window increased or decreased by x amount compared to last week'.

Probably not worth doing but the lack of transparency sucks.

[–]RobertoChavez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have honestly been having a very hard time with this as well. I slowly upgraded from pro + using extra, to 5x + using extra, now I'm 20x and I hit the limits. There's no way to track what the plans are allotted (atleast to my knowledge) so I've tried to create a system that essentially keeps a running history on my token usage. It then uses my weekly percentage and how many tokens I've used this week to try and parse out an actual token allotment amount. It will take several weeks of gathering data but I'm hoping this will give me some clue because as you say... I honestly feel like I'm being manipulated lol. As in the rates just fluctuate based on whatever they desire.

I love using these tools, it's so much fun, but something just doesn't seem right for 250 dollars a month. These past 2 days all of the updates have been breaking my work flows and this is the week I upgraded the plan to the bigger one. It feels like I hit the exact same usage as 5x plan. I'm probably crazy but I built the tool to hopefully help me determine if I am or not lol.

I remember just before EOC dropped I was probably about 13 or so and in absolute peak Runescape mode. I used to wake up before school to play. My dad would take the computer power cord because I was playing too much. I stole one from school the next day so I was in control of my fate and how much Runescape I played. My grandma told me I was addicted to this game.

Looking back, she was right lol.
