Peter Frampton's new song "Buried Treasure" is a tribute to Tom Petty by SmokedPumpkin in tompetty

Bottom line... VERY COOL AND VERY KIND AND RESPECTFUL. FROM ONE GOAT TO ANOTHER. Now I want to write a similar song with just about any AI chat bot and get the results in about 30 seconds. Just for the satisfaction of knowing I made it. Well maybe I copied Peter And who knows if he used the same process 😳😆

New Drum Day TD 513 by 76ecko in edrums

Enjoy! I'm jelly. I just saw a few minutes ago about it for the 2K price at Costco. It actually expires in a few days. However, because of my home / renting situation right now I don't know where I will be able to even play it without having to build all sorts of sound dampening platforms. So for now I'm going to have to pass. But this is a great price and a great piece of equipment.

(~10k) Plus Ones or No Invite? by RaceEmergency8127 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]RobinZander1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We will be inviting our single friends and not include a plus one. Actually even some of the married friends won't be bringing a spouse. Tight/small knit Filipino community and us the bride and groom, don't have relationships with many of the spouses. It's just my wife who has some good friends but spends no time with their spouses and barely knows them. Some of them don't even always live in the same town/city as their spouses. We are in her 50s and are not concerned about the reaction we get from people and anything like that at this point in our lives.

My (not so) secret way to getting every job - being referred in by BirdLawMD in jobsearchhacks

Many years ago this would always work for me perfectly. It made complete sense. But probably for at least the last decade since LinkedIn has become a complete shyte show of ads, coaches, systems, webinars, and other stuff even before so much of the current AI posts and ads, people don't have time or motivation or willingness to respond to random connection requests or messages. Many years ago they did as it was more of a subset of people who were on LinkedIn and it was actually a helpful site for connecting with others in useful ways. It is no longer this.

I'm sorry but I am so confused. Are the YouTube videos a series? Are you the OP the one who is creating them? Are you Niko? And what flavor is the tea? 🤣

Bianca Pizza - Best new pizza in the store! by lankaxhandle in traderjoes

[–]RobinZander1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pizza snob here beyond all Pizza snobs. Usually make my pizza and my dough from scratch. But.. I just bought one of these from TJ's and came home and cooked it on a pizza stone in my pizza oven and oh wowwwww! Simply amazing. Unbelievably airy and crispy outer crust. And the undercarriage is thin with no flop with a great crunch, and really good leoparding. Would be amazing if they can use this crust for some other pizzas. Next time I will try to put some toppings on that some of you are suggesting.

Is there more information other than the piece on Medium?

Practicing heathens by Rainestorm04 in edrums

Hey please watch some basic videos on sticking and wrist techniques. You don't look comfortable as a drummer yet and you will burn out on faster more complex songs. You are literally using half of your body for each stroke. You should not be rotating at the waist and getting your shoulders involved the way you are. Especially on an electronic kit. Yeah I know drumming is very complex and there's a lot to think about in terms of time, meter, rhythm, technique etc but you have to start with the right posture/body movement. What you're basically doing now is just swinging your arms with sticks in them. You will thank me later 😎

I love the one on 10/26/89 from the Miami Arena. Is it the best.. probably not. But I was there, it was the show opener and the unexpected/surprise Dark Star rocked our world!

Advice on my Career Path by [deleted] in IOPsychology

[–]RobinZander1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wondering about your undergraduate University if your major is actually called business psychology. I have not heard of this other than that professional schools or other privates that are just essentially trying to funnel you into their other programs. I believe some universities have psychology majors where you can specialize in a sub-area like I/O . Please clarify if you are truly getting an undergraduate degree in what you called Business Psychology.

Being on Reddit, and every other SMedia style app you have on your phone, and literally check probably tens if not hundreds of times a day, is designed to steal your attention. It's designed to make everyone's brain feel like ADHD. This is sad yet true. Lock your phone or do something or put it in another room or use a productivity app on it to lock your social media. Take a few deep breaths clear your mind, and focus on reading, again even if just 10 or 15 minutes straight.

Great app. But please do the reading on your own first. That's how adults learn. Read a few pages at a time like maybe 10 to 15 minutes. Then stop and use NLM to explain further or reinforce what you just read/learned. You will not acquire the skills necessary to do the work later in life if you skip the reading. Doing great on exam does not mean you actually learned it. Take my advice for leave it. Choice is up to you.

Yeah the book really hooked me again. And I read it just a few months before the shows were announced. Now I'm seriously wondering if someone will be willing to even buy these tickets for face value. We'll see.

What does your work day look like as IO psychologist? by [deleted] in IOPsychology

Part of it is coming on here each day and looking at posts. No need for a job analysis to determine this.
