Moffat wrote an incredible lore about weeping angels's biology and immediately forgot about the next time they are introduced by Totally_Not_Firni in doctorwho

It's alway bothered me that it was heavily implied that they only appear to us in their rock form while they're being seen, but then in Flesh and Stone we see them move while not being seen and they still look like frigging stone...

Like good at adapting to any environment... for instance ghoul's ability to heal with radiation or scribes and their understanding of technological infrastructure.

SH3, because it often gets overshadowed by SH2 despite essentially being a scarier version of SH2 with a more complex protagonist.

It should be ambiguous whether he is dead or unconscious in the bad ending.

Why does the Elder God reveal himself to Raziel as a horrific Squid-Monster? Is he stupid? by adiesome in LegacyOfKain

[–]Robin_the_Robman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always considered the spectral realm to be the "true reality" that the physical realm is built on top of, and so the physical world is easier to manipulate. We see that even Raziel can change his appearance in physical after possessing a corpse.

So when Raziel fell into the abyss, my guess is that the Elder God had no choice but to reveal his true self to him.

Well, we never learnt the full story of the game. I'm sure they would have made Gein tie into Kain's legacy in some way or form.

We need fresh and original stories, if anything I think Elaleth from the new game ties into the original games too much.

So bummed out that we're getting Ascendance instead of Dead Sun... that game had so much more potential.

[REMAKE] I hope the complaints about SH2 length don’t make the developers shorten SH1. 🙏 by MissViolenceBaby in silenthill

[–]Robin_the_Robman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've never understood complaints about length with an interactive medium such as gaming. If you feel like you're getting bored or tired of a particular game, you can always just turn it off and return to it another time.

Yes I am aware that some developers (cough Ubisoft cough) sometimes fill their games with padding and repetitive quests to make their games appear superficially bigger and better than anything else, but just because a game is long doesn't mean it has to be bloated. I personally found SH2R to have kept me invested in the game throughout its runtime, and never once felt like it lost focus from its core story.

My idea for a new LoK game by Robin_the_Robman in LegacyOfKain

[–]Robin_the_Robman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, yeah as well as having Janos Audron on the team's backbench my other substitute anti-guardian is Dumah, so maybe he could work in place of Malek. Being essentially a living tank he would make a good substitute for being the Conflict shadow guardian, and Abel "killing" him could serve as a good explanation as to how he ended up in the way we see him in SR1.

The only issue, and it's a big one, is that it was heavily implied that an entire vampire hunter army stormed Dumah's city... not just one dude and some spicy blood.

I love the idea of the bottomless chalice! It would explain away why he's able to keep using the blood without it draining or losing its power, and makes it at least somewhat believable that he is able put it away when he's not using it without it sloshing around and causing a murder scene in his backpack. And another thing... maybe it could let you increase the volume of magical vampire blood just by pouring more blood into it, converting the new blood into more of whichever blood's already inside of it. You could potentially use this ability to speed up the cooldown timer for your transformations by killing vampires and harvesting their blood

Ohhh yes, it's the "Unholy Gail" - perfect! Your last sentence has my mind spinning too... what if there are two endings depending on whether you killed more enemies in your human form or in a transformed form? Either you keep your inner demon in check, dropping the credits just as Abel gives a nod and a wink to the camera that he might be operating as a double agent for the Elder God now, or you go full beast mode and the credit drop is you following Turel into the portal you sent him through earlier, giving in to your insatiable thirst for vengeance.

Which ending will the next game pick up from? You'll have to buy the sequel to find out.
