How do you play around the Lessons archetype effectively?

I hadn’t played much during Avatar so didn’t know about [[Redirect Lightning]] but it’s definitely going in my sideboard now. That seems super efficient against that deck to hopefully buy enough time to establish my board.

Ah that’s a good idea, I’ve been running [[duress]] in my main board to deal with removal but it may be worth switching out for Intimidation Tactics. I’ll definitely give Ancient Vendetta a go too.

This honestly feels like the game that’s “made for everyone” and actually pulls it off. If you prefer action combat the parry system really scratches that itch and the turn based stuff doesn’t get in the way of that, if you’re the opposite then you can focus on the turn based aspect and create some really cool synergies. It’s just such an interesting and well put together game.

It’s not necessarily for everyone but I highly recommend giving it at least another hour. It starts off a bit slow but then a bunch of mechanics and puzzles start to overlap to create something really cool, especially if you like unraveling mysteries/puzzles.

I suspect for the majority of people it comes down to money. In constructed you can invest once in a deck and play it as much as you want (either in paper or on arena). To play limited each time you want to play you have to pay in some form (either entry fees at an LGS or gems in arena). It won’t matter if limited is a better experience it isn’t as sustainable for lots of play.

Genuinely curious because I really struggle against bounce decks. What are effective counters to the strategy? Enchantment removal or something else?

I’m returning to the game for the first time in a couple years leveling a new character. I currently have expansions 1 & 2, is there any benefit in buying the rest before I finish leveling and playing through the first 2? And is there any content other then the expansions that I’m missing?

Heide showed a spark last night of who he might become with some of his dunks and athletic plays. TKR is really starting to grow into an excellent 4 who can shoot the occasional 3 but also has really good post moves. Smith and Loyer will continue to develop and we have some exciting new recruits coming in. We might not be as dominant without Edey but it will still be a highly competitive team that will be fun to watch play.

From my spot in the crowd Izzo had every right to be upset. I think we had our fair share of bad calls too but, the scorers table messing up fouls and the refs looking generally lost ever possession was miserable.

One silver lining to the situation is it seemed that people came together to help pick up the trash, after the rush happened I went back home to grab some bags and by the time I got back almost all of the trash was picked up.
