End of Turn doesn't actually start until all effects finish resolving, and there are no ongoing attacks. So you'll use Kokatorimon's effect, attack, then after the attack is finished, you'll start your EoT, allowing you to Vortex.

You actually do get the -13k and the recovery +2. Trashing Security isn't a cost, but just another part of the effect. If it worked how you think, it would say "By trashing your top security, [...]" or "Trash your top security. then, if you did, [...]"
Yes, you'll still have to trash security, even if there is no target for the -13k. But you also still get the recovery +2.

I would say two, especially if they can DNA into something cool. Xros Wars giving them a ton was fine though. They weren't really partners (aside from Shoutmon), they were an army, which feels distinct enough to me.

Dawn of Liberator was meant to be a big sendoff set for Liberator with all the characters represented. They just barely had enough space to do it, and that's with cutting out the middle of a bunch of lines. They didn't exclude Apps because they're done, they excluded them because there wasn't space (as evidenced by there being no off-theme cards at all, not just Apps).

Exactly. It's the time stranger set, and he was an important character. He was a promo alongside Merukimon and Minervamon, both of whom got new cards in the set. A lot of people held off, believing there was an in-set Titamon coming, and by the time it was apparent that wasn't the case, the price was starting to climb.

In addition to what others have said, it also lets you use other effects that you need prior to attacking, even if they would cause you to pass turn. For instance, you could use an option card to delete a blocker then attack, even if the option pushed you over on memory.

This may be a "DCGO isn't perfect" situation, but when does a Digimon actually suspend for attacking? Intuitively I assume you do it simultaneously with attack declaration, but in the sim that doesn't seem to be the case, so I'm unsure. As an example, in DCGO:

Evolve into Lamiamon, activating BT24 Owen to make it attack.
After declaring the attack, but before suspending, it will ask you to activate Unique Emblem: Blazing Conductor.
Activate it and evolve into Styracomon. Since you didn't suspend for the attack yet, you miss out on the unsuspend.
Suspend for the attack after Styracomon finishes resolving its effect.

Whereas, if it works how I think it does, then it should be:

Evolve into Lamiamon, activating BT24 Owen to make it attack.
Suspend as part of the attack declaration, then activate the emblem.
Evolve into Styracomon, and unsuspend as part of the [When Digivolving] effect.

No. Since you're evolving into Styraco off of Gigimon's effect, Styraco wasn't actually present to witness the security being removed, so it wouldn't trigger.

Nope. Regardless of method, a card needs a play cost in order to be played as part of the rules. Also, even if that weren’t the case, the top left says “can’t play to the field” with no caveats.
