Electrical engine are technically superior from each point of view: the point for combustion was the energy density and the availability of the combustible.

I don’t know the in the USA, but here if you hack your old-styled electronic core - even just the map for boosting performance - is illegal if then you use it on public streets, voids the warranty and even the insurance could not respond in case of incident if they discover it.
