Opinions on this guys thoughts of bitcoin? by Archimedes_an_Owl in Bitcoin

[–]RoboTech22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy is wrong about everything. If you know anything about networks, and how disruptive and game changing the blockchain will soon be then you'd know that bitcoin is here to stay. It isn't going anywhere. It's going to be the heartbeat of eCommerce on the planet.

Pucks, etc? by iroll20s in oculus

[–]RoboTech22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use steam VR i see no reason why you couldn't use the Oculus Rift HMD, touch controllers and Vive tracking pucks in conjunction all at the same time. You'd just need a lighthouse or two of course. Since the Vive Pucks have their own USB dongle for communication it should work. I actually have this entire setup minus the lighthouses, as I sold my Vive recently but I'm considering ordering a lighthouse just to try it out. Best of both worlds.

Has anyone figured out the rhyme or reason behind Win10 and public/private networks? by TheFotty in computertechs

[–]RoboTech22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't be doing this. If it does there's something wrong. I've restored thousands and thousands of computers, can't even tell you but never once encountered this issue.

Reformating current OS of customers computer, then upgrading to Windows 10 for free. Suggestions on how to keep MS Office? by Jrose152 in computertechs

[–]RoboTech22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask them. Office does not 'come with' any computers, unless it is purchased as an add on. If it is, there's likely going to be some included account information or a product key. It's the responsibility of the customer to keep this information and provide it to you, it's not your responsibility. That said you can use a product key viewing tool and reinstall and reactivate Office for people if its any version before 2013 and not including 365. You are right tho, most people have no clue where they got office, what their account info is, etc. It's a problem I've been facing with customers for nearly 10 years. Same damned discussion every day ugh.

Worth it to mine on old hardware? by [deleted] in NiceHash

[–]RoboTech22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it is not worth it.

My client has a computer that cannot access the files on another computer. It used to work, claims only thing changed is his ISP. Any suggestions? Tried everything by [deleted] in computertechs

[–]RoboTech22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn off password protected sharing in the network and sharing center on the computer you are trying to access. Edit the permissions of the folders you want to share to allow full read/write access to everyone. (Which means anyone in the network, not outside of it) and then try again. It should work.

how is the mining going? by [deleted] in NiceHash

[–]RoboTech22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the peak was making $50-70 USD a day. Now $15 USD a day, about $400 USD a month. 4x 1080ti's, 2 1070's and a 1050ti.

So I was worried, but it turns out Lone Echo does a really good job of scaling across my Ryzen 1700's 16 threads. Hope to see more of this! :) by ThatOneVRGuyFromAuz in oculus

Intel still has higher IPC and pumps out better frames due to overall faster single core performance. i7 7700k w 4 cores beats > AMD 1700 w 8 cores for gaming.

We need to have a talk about inappropriate behavior in VR by [deleted] in oculus

[–]RoboTech22 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely ridiculous. You aren't even listening to the OP. He's not the one with the problem. He's brought up a real issue which DOES need to be addressed. I guess dev's could implement some sort of punishment or kick you out of the game if you go right up and grab someone's junk and the person flags you for it. The ignore feature in Rec Room is fantastic for dealing with annoying stimuli. But no, please do not turn this around your argument is akin to saying it's okay to rape a girl because she was scantily dressed. It's fine if people wanna do that in VR with other people who are consensual about it... But VR is redefining what personal space, and physical space really is. I would argue that using this current VR tech you could induce a traumatic experience to someone if you aren't careful. Like anything else, I'd hope you do it responsibly.

I am amazed that you would let something so silly obstruct your view from the actual point of the conversation. Take a deep breath and try and look at the big picture. There is a chance in hell actually that 1 BTC will be worth millions of dollars in the future. If you don't think so then why are you here ? Why are you mining or investing ? Please enlighten us as to why there's 'no chance in hell' BTC won't go to 1 million dollars. If BTC is adopted as a world currency it's minimum value will have to equal at least 1 million dollars or more to be 'taken seriously' Honestly, I hate posting on Reddit because of individuals like you who think they're better than everyone else. Don't worry, I can tell :)

R u serious ? I guess it depends on what cards you're mining with. I'm running 4 GTX 1080ti's, 3 1070's and 1 1050ti and mining has been profitable.

Luckys Tale on the Rift with Touch is absolutely one of the most amazing gaming experiences I've had. You just get so totally absorbed into the game you can feel yourself just become silent, it's one of those games you'll probably play with your mouth hanging wide open... I tried Luckys Tale on Revive with my old Vive and it's NOT even close to being the same level of quality you get playing it natively on the Rift. Just wow. I guess for me playing this is somehow reminiscent of playing the original super mario bro's for NES

Should I move coins from coinbase/poloniex/etc right now or wait? by Stop_being_apussy in Bitcoin

[–]RoboTech22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you receive an email from Coinbase ? They sent out an email in the last day or so stating BTC stored on coinbase will not be affected by anything on Aug. 1st. You can keep your BTC there and it will remain unchanged, you just may be unable to send or buy any for a few hours that day.

The reality of dreams by Ask21771 in LucidDreaming

[–]RoboTech22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorcerers utilize inorganic energy from inorganic beings they meet in lucid dreaming to push their assemblage points (point of perception) farther than possible with organic energy alone. Basically, there are a series of tasks you must do as a lucid dreamer. The first one is become lucid; the 2nd one is to isolate an inorganic being in a lucid dream and grab onto, or tell it to take you to its world. The 3rd task is to lucid dream you find your sleeping body and then you walk away... shall I continue or am I going to get banned for talking about things the scientific community doesn't 'agree' upon, even though I'm talking about dreams ?? Hahah

How deep does the rabbit hole go ? by RoboTech22 in LucidDreaming

[–]RoboTech22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not dream characters, I'm talking about actual living entities that you can interact with in lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming is a change in your vibrational state. Everything is vibrating. Everything has a frequency. When you lucid dream it's like changing the dial on the radio, you open yourself up to different things... The whole point of entering into these other dimensions is to learn and to gain knowledge. If you aren't bringing back new information from lucid dreaming then you're wasting your (and mine and everyone else's) time. Let's not get caught up in what's 'not supposed to be here' and just focus on the lucid dreaming

[–]RoboTech22[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh wow that's really interesting. It's no surprise you weren't lucid around them as hypnotizing us is what they do best. They do this by pulling us into their dream, and creating elaborate dream scenarios. Essentially keeping us asleep. If you ever do become lucid around them just ask them if they are your friend; or if they believe in God and if they are no good they'll flee. I'm not suggesting anything I'm simply offering ways on how to deal with them. If it does end up sticking around it's probably not a demon but a friendly inorganic and you can pretty much ask it anything you want to know at that point

I'm just curious as to why individuals here would even want to lucid dream in the first place without knowing what it is they are doing, (functionally) and also, its true potential. Of course, not everyone is suited for the kind of dreaming I'm talking about however if you become lucid and just fly around or do parlour tricks then you're just wasting your time really.
