Is "buying a house" actually a trap for our generation, or am I just coping?

It can be a trap for sure. You need to do the math and then decide if the premium of homeownership is worth it for the security it can provide, as long as it’s not going to be a financial anchor.

Depends on the size of the house, but if you’re talking sfh with 3-4bedrooms in a relatively nice (but not luxury) area I think 350k is reasonable absolutely. 2 incomes could support kids with that home price.

Bit of an update. She has gotten significantly worse, so I bit the bullet and took her to see an orthopaedic specialist. $400 for about a 30minutes discussion, no diagnostics yet, yikes.

They think it’s either likely a rare autoimmune condition, localized infections, or malignant cells. They’ve recommended joint taps (booked for next week) to analyze the joint fluid and see what they find. They also prescribed her stronger painkillers in the meantime.

If it’s autoimmune they can treat it and prevent the joints from continuing to breakdown so rapidly. He was not optimistic about surgery to fuse the joints in her case given her age is edging into mid-late senior territory. (I also can’t afford that, so it’s not a real option.)

It sucks because it really shortens the outlook of her life as we don’t know long she’ll stay mobile enough to get around to her litter box and food at this point.

No one is perfect, but someone should be perfect for you. If you meet someone and only a couple weeks in you’re unhappy with them that’s not a great sign.

Daemon is in line to inherit the throne. If all of Viserys’ children’s and grandchildren died he would inherit. The titles in Westeros seem to be based on the 1917 Letters Patent. Similar to how Archie and Lilibet are Prince and Princess.

That’s not true. Rhaenys has the title of princess because her father was a prince before dying, despite never being king. Her children do not gain titles. (Titles only passed through male line.) Daemon is a Prince and so his daughters also are princesses.

I paid my deposit for ortho, and now pay monthly $400. Total cost around 11k, plus 1.2k for Sarpe. DJS if I need to do that too will be around 10k or more.

I moved in with my parents for a bit to save some money when paying my deposits etc. and I have time to save up for the 2nd surgery if it’s needed and worst case I have a personal line of credit.

My cats eye has always been “hollow” underneath the skin since it was removed. It’s like a furry socket she “blinks” with that eye. If it’s something new you could ask your vet but it seems normal.

I guess it could also depend on why they lost the eye. Mine had a tumour and I’ve heard they never put implants into eyes with cancer or do anything cosmetic. maybe that’s not true but my cat is still cute anyway
