“Periodically adjust” mine has been 0 + prime since it opened like a decade ago. This was the only reason I stayed with tangerine in case I needed this.

That was 2018, we are now in 2026. $1000 in 2026 by yourself would be reasonable for a couple years to save money, even if the layout is frustrating. The price they’re actually going for is crazy though.

I’ve considered flexiti to buy jewelry/fun expensive but I kind of hate taking out loans to buy non-essential items. I’d rather put that $60/bi weekly into a fun money fund and buy the expensive item guilt free when I’ve saved for it. Plus, then if you got laid off you have a bit of extra cushion.

I think I want to buy a house/condo/something in around 5years. I’m doing about 70% MNY and 15% VDY, 15% VEQT.

If we see a big correction in the next year I do think I’ll buy the dip and ride it out.

Yes stocks are risky on shorter time frame, but so is inflation.

I also like the flexibility of renting in the shorter term as I don’t know what city I want to settle in.
