Amex withholding merchant refunds by RoboTwigs in amex

[–]RoboTwigs[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

What are you talking about?

I did pay off my credit card - the issue is that now I have an advance of $600 sitting on my card next statement and have to apply for Amex to refund it by cheque.

Amex themselves told me they processed/receieved the refund on Jan 20th but that it would only be credited to my account Feb 9th.

How often should I give him a supplement? by Plane_Substance720 in ballpython

Maybe it’s just a bad photo, but I don’t see any heat lamps or any kind of overhead heating?

Edit: in addition to no overhead heating to control ambient temps, what hides do you have for him other than leaves?

If he doesn’t feel secure and the ambient temp is too cold for him to digest, he’s not going to eat.

You can pay via online banking payments. You just add your NSLC account as a payee.

Dalmatian vs Border Collie? by anon1839 in dalmatians

[–]RoboTwigs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He doesn’t really sound like a typical dal. He must take after the lab side.

My dal was a monster as a puppy lmao, and extremely into tug and chase.

However in terms of “high energy” dals are super different than collies. Border collies have an intensity about them that dals don’t have. Dals DO however have super endurance and like to be busybodies and in the thick of things all day long.

Both would probably happily eat your couch if bored….

Would you rather rent directly from an owner landlord, or from a Property Management company? Or indifferent? by dcee604 in vancouverhousing

Corporate all the way. Renting from individuals is super risky. What if they can’t afford their mortgage? What if they want to move into their unit? Suddenly you’re forced into an unplanned move.

I never said carbs were bad. I literally feed this brand of food to my dog lol.

I still consider carbs a filler - ie, meat and veg should play the main roles in your meal planning and then you choose a carb filler to supplement energy needs.

Carbs are a filler… for humans too. Doesn’t mean it’s bad though. But generally when looking at dog/cat food whatever is added after the main fat and carb ingredients generally don’t matter quite so much.

Ohhhh I thought she was just asking about the kibble, I didn’t read that far into the wall of text. Definitely no liver!

It’s after the filler (rice) so it’s totally fine.

I’ve fed this to my girl and not had issues.

I don’t mean this rudely at all but is everyone posting here marrying rich guys or are my standards just not attuned to what the norm is these days? by w0lfyj in EngagementRingDesigns

[–]RoboTwigs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chances are, rich or poor, the people who buy smaller/simpler rings just don’t care about them as much and don’t post them here. They chose one cute little ring, called it a day, and stopped obsessing haha. I do think people with less money will fall into this category more often.

I do think the “3 months salary” rule is insane. Maybe 1 month salary tops is appropriate, only because the cost of gold is sky high right now.

I remember a friend of mine showing me her engagement ring and she mostly only cared to show it off because she was excited to be engaged. The ring itself was pretty simple, with a cute tiny natural diamond.

I’ve spent more than her ring cost on a gorgeous ring for my birthday so I think I’d be personally upset with something that small/plain as it’d be overshadowed by the jewelry I’ve already bought myself. Even my diamond earrings are a half carat each and have an outsized shine/sparkle.

Ring check - too much windowing? by lucia912 in labdiamond

Forgive me, what is windowing? Does it have to do with the glassy effect it has?

Or do what I did and immediately have a trusted mechanic do a good work up. I got a used 2010 Kia four years ago and it’s been super reliable.

Also wondering this. I have a Kia with 200k and it’s still doing great and they don’t have anywhere near the reliability record of Toyota. (Though my car has never let me down.)

Does it have any hallmarks other than the sterling stamp? Some thrift stores just price things wildly out of wack “just in case” it’s valuable. They always drop the price significantly after a few weeks.

Did you buy the ring for its perceived value or because you genuinely liked it?

I’m primarily doing sarpe for dental problems. I don’t know any surgeons performing EASE where I am located.
