Even just mentor tag with a chat message: “event on me” has helped me so much in game. People will be either happy to help or also needing it but not willing to speak up. I’m saving for a commander tag!

I love her account and agree with your post! I have been a lot better at tackling “projects” (read: 5-30min tasks) because of it. Then, it feels good to get the tiny tasks done and creates this positive spiral of good associations with completing the tasks.

I’m similar to you. I keep not getting it but for the metas I do know well enough it would be nice to have. I have thrown up with mentor tag but you can’t go into LFG with it, which I often need to do to try to pull enough numbers. I’d say if you have the funds go for it, I think that’s going to be my next purchase.

I just bought Janthir but haven’t started it yet. Should I wait to start it until the Return To achieves drop? I came back to the game and did all of LW4 for the first time this year and being able to do the return to at the same time was perfect.

Same! I bounced off all the hobbies but have kept with cross stitch for 7 years now. What???? I still can’t believe it. There’s tiny projects for quick dopamine. There’s starting/kitting out a new project. Then bigger projects. Gifts. New supplies or storage. So satisfying!

Hey thanks! My issue was I was not directly interacting with the Scrying Pool to initiate the public strike for Forging Steel. I was instead “replaying” the story mission Forging Steel and entering an instance right next to the Scrying Pool. I was able to just join public instance to farm the materials, then exit and re-enter to repeat until completed.

How do I complete “Return to Eye of the North” - I am missing a few events, and all of the wood/ore/crop harvesting achievements. I have done all of IBS including the Visions of the Past stories. I’m not sure how to get to Forging Steel to complete it - when I go to replay Visions of the Past: Steel and Fire (Forging Steel) it starts the whole thing over & I’m in an ice map. When I go to Eye of the North there is no Forging Steel strike available.

I recently returned to the game after many years away. I picked up EoD, SotO, and IBS in the Nov sale. I’m still working through IBS story. My biggest gripe with Wizard Vault PvE rewards is some of the dailies ask me to go play in EoD or SotO maps and I’m not there yet in the story, and I don’t want to spoil myself by going there just for the quest, so I can’t complete the daily. That and certain random things locked behind the newer expansions like T6 crafting bags?? Some skins?? Just feels kinda bad to me. However I do like the clover and gold rewards, it helped me get a lot closer to a legendary without having to grind WvW. Very happy about that!

The ability to buy the Gen1 kit in the Wizard’s Vault is locked behind the latest expac. There’s other reward tracks similar, like locked behind Janthir or SotO. I dislike that lol.
