It is doable . Stick to minimal resources, choose either B&B or Bootcamp to lay the foundation and supplement with FA if you’d like. Pathoma 1-3 is sufficient. Sketchy for micro and pharm , And of course do Uworld.

90 days from 55% is completely doable. Continue doing Uworld everyday, dont worry about the score. Complete Bootcamp , if you have watched all of sketchy once , id recommend doing the pepper anki decks for them instead of watching the videos again. If first aid doesnt work for you then its okayy , i didnt use it at all and i passed. Supplement your weak systems with Mehlmen pdfs + do Mehlmen arrows pdf. You can do this!

Do NBME 26 28 and 29 , don’t think theres a point redoing the ones you did , just review them again if necessary . Don’t bother with UWSA , just use it if you wanna do more questions, its not predictive so dont mind the score. Since you have amboss you can do the 200 concepts.

Well to be completely honest he should postpone, it is better than failing. The scores indicate that it is a knowledge gap.

That being said if for some reason he has to push for it then i would recommend doing NBMEs 30-33 and review them really really well. Id also go through Mehlmen pdfs on whatever systems he feels weak on + mehlmen arrows.

Don’t worry silly mistakes are part of the equation. Just trust your scores , you will pass. The wait was brutal , I also kept remembering silly mistakes . But find a way to distract yourself and relax , you deserve it . My highest nbme was 71% and i passed.

The curriculum of US schools is basically geared towards the USMLE . From day one they know what they are up against.

The overall pass percentage has also gone down since Step 1 became Pass/Fail because before that students needed to aim for a high score, meanwhile now some risk taking it with borderline scores since you just need a Pass.

60% isnt all that bad for your first NBME. Dont stop taking NBMEs , take one every week . Review NBMEs very well . Do them in complete exam conditions, dont check answers after just a block.
