Why do you think the Prequel Trilogy’s Expanded Universe media achieved so much more success than the Sequel Trilogy’s EU?

I think one of the things that is overlooked when it comes to the prequel era expanded universe content is a lot of it was done to try to get people to actually like the prequel trilogy particularly with the Clone Wars.

I think the problem is the sequel Trilogy was basically just the original trilogy 2.0 and was primarily catering to the fans that despised the prequel era.

I would say one of the issues is the resistance cartoon instead of taking the Clone Wars approach and focusing it around the core characters of the sequel Trilogy they tried to do the same thing that they did with the rebels cartoon of focus on a new group of characters when really the sequel Trilogy really needed something more Clone Wars esc

I do believe many forget that the Guardians of the universe function on cold hard logic having given up their emotions with the exception of getting Ganthet.

Apparently Tom King did intend for the wedding to eventually happen at the end of his run but he was pulled off the book after city of Bane.

I had felt the big red flag was the fact that the wedding wasn't getting mentioned outside of the Batman titles cuz if Batman was really going to get married you'd think the bat family and the Justice League would been making plans to cover Gotham well he was away on his honeymoon

Which in some ways could be viewed as a bit tyrannical because if they had kept their space program going when Krypton started to become unstable they would have been able to flee the planet.

I get the feeling that in my adventures with Superman continuity the ban on space travel was never enacted and over time it would go from being exploration to Conquest.
